Actually the only 3 people I know voted on this poll (including myself) all voted for "I don't care". Because it's closer to the truth than "I HATE THEM REEEEE".

I voted “I don’t care” too, not a lot of people even voted so safe to say they just don’t car either.

Can only speak for myself but I que solo most of the time, sometimes with 70 friends and sometimes with 79 friends. I play with people i like idc what they play.
The Pole questions were not as good as a FMK, that is the real question here!

To chime in from a 79s perspective, I think 70 twinks are awesome and applaud their dedication. I may be wrong but I believe many 70 twinks were invested in BC endgame back in the day and have a special love for the content. Now they are really able to push their characters to the bleeding edge for fun and experience that nostalgia, community and all. There are many more reasons too, and they have been listed out many times here.
As someone who has never spent much time doing end game content and never raided I don't personally gravitate towards that kind of twinking, but I fully understand the draw. If someone gave me a 70 twink I would probably love it and ofc stay 70, but I would need a guide to show me all the reasons why it's great. Which is why I quoted Berry's comment that I think must really echo the 70 community.
When it comes to the sparks that sometime flare up from 70s at 79s, I think it's pretty much in good fun. Is it welcoming? Not really but I think we all understand that more people in the bracket is a good thing and there's still the mutual respect that min maxers give each other.

In case anyone is wondering I guess I'll explain why this thread exists and why the poll is retarded.
@tomxoqt made it to try to support his argument in this thread.
Now, here is why the poll sucks:
It's begging the question by reframing the arguments in favor of toms own viewpoint. The options read "I hate them, they are a blight on the bracket" and "Actually, it's a good thing that the 70-79 bracket is growing". While it's true that 79 twinks are strictly a negative to the 70 twink community (or a blight) it's not generally true that they are hated by them. There is no good, reasonable option to choose so instead we have to choose the option closest to the truth, ie "I don't care".
It's posted on a public forum. The point tomxoqt was trying to make in the other thread was specifically about the european level 70 twink community. By posting his poll publicly on these forums he opens it up to votes from american 70 twinks and twinks from completely different brackets. Most of the votes on the poll are probably from the latter.
It doesn't support his argument. If the poll wasn't already made useless by the factors above, the majority of the votes still support my argument, which was this:

- I reply explaining that it has to do with tradition and the size of the community
- I also explain that on the european realms 79 twinks are generally looked down upon by the 70 twink community
- tomxoqt (lvl 79 twink player) gets a little mad and calls me salty, jealous and toxic
- tomxoqt also doesn't believe that the 79 twinks are generally looked down upon by the 70 twink community on the eu realms
- I try to argue that the 70 twink community on the eu realms is a tight-knit community and that gauging their general opinion on a given topic isn't hard if you're part of it
- tomxoqt makes this thread+poll to prove his point
- tomxoqt continues to call me crying, bitchy and salty
- I tell him that he's overreacting and that the 70 community doesn't hate 79 twinks nearly as much as he apparently believes
- I also tell him that in fact, most of the eu 70 twink community is probably closer to indifference than "hate" when it comes to 79 twinks. This is the analogy I used to describe it: "Kind of like how I feel about certain classes; I wish people didn't roll them or that they didn't exist in the game, but they do. And that's not the end of the world. But if someone asks me what class to roll you best believe I'm not going to suggest one of those."

I am 79, coz I was twinking 79 back in WotLK and 74 back in Cata on old account. Recieved a lot of hate just for playing that levels.
I respect they are playing 70 for nostalgia, but I personally dont have any bonds to TBC. Nowadays half of 70s I meet call me cancer of bracket and other half wants to play/duel together and have fun.

I had the experience how you behave towards other players. And by that I don't mean all 79s but especially the gang of this author

Why Blizz changed it first 70-74 and then to 79.. it dosnt really matters as most levelers have shit low lvl gears..
Reason why these ppl go to 79 is to trigger 70s or to get Revenge..
60 and 70 Still have tons of ppl and if There was a better reason to go 79 everyone would do

That’s why it’s so painful to tell older twinks to leave my community. It’s sad that sometimes it’s the newer 70s that are kind and better players and sportsman, there are a select few of older players all in there own click Eu or us that will flash a rating no one cares about in twinks faces

Mostly my reaction to this is ''Huh?" but I'm sure there is context I'm missing, so can anyone help explain what they mean about 79s and the AB tabard?
I do love how in their world, the only reason anyone would roll a 79 is to troll 70s. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but not everything revolves around your particular flavor of twinking.

I think he means that it doesn't make sense to farm a long-term goal (like the AB tabard) on a 79. To him it would be a wasted accomplishment. Could be wrong though.
On another note I agree with his sentiment that people don't play 70 mainly for PVE. Out of all the active 70 twinks there are less than a handful PVE'ers.

You are right man... Ive seen ppl stacking Up 79s and 69s to be ready and use em If they get troubles. Farming hks and other achieves standing in duro waiting for ppl to come Inspect em ? Is this something 79s want or can You give me Your own thoughts about what Your goals is with a 79.
To trigger 70s ? The gap is to Short to Being able to smack an entire premade with 70s so yeah. Dno what Your goals are ^^
