Hey guys, I was curious to know if there could be an additional 79 twink bracket added to the Arena Ladder. I would really appreciate it. I'm currently investing my time in a 79 twink Resto Shammy and plan to grind arenas for fun. However, I would love to see how much rating i'm at along the way. I'm sure I could help promote people to make 79 twinks in the future so the bracket isn't a complete waste of time, Thank you.

I hope you will find someone who wants to play 79 :).But I am sorry that I must tell you that we will never add a ladder for Level 79.

Isn't it a copy+paste job at this point? I have no idea how it works so I'm just talking out of my ass, but wouldn't it be possible to make a ladder for every level, quite easily?

I mean probably, but do you really want to see a ladder for let's say lvl55 twinks? Because I can see people requesting a ladder for all of their niche brackets.

Why don't we add ladders based on activity? If a level becomes active, sure, add a ladder. If there's 10 people across the world playing that bracket, then maybe it's not such a good idea.

I don't really want to see a ladder for 55 twinks, because I don't play there and I hardly ever PvP. If I did twink and PvP at 55 I'd like a ladder, if the opportunity is there and it requires minimal effort (I don't know if it does).

It makes sense to me to just add it for everyone who wants it, if it does require minimum effort, it'll atleast make those people happy. I wouldn't mind if a bracket/level that I don't happen to play in gets a ladder (79, 85. 90 and yes, even 55), if it makes 'em happy.

Activity would be good to measure the interest in general, but if someone would specifically come here to ask for the ladder and it takes no effort, why not?
 
Sounds good let 79 farm 70 and get rating reminds of trade times

Also, how does it work now for 70 ratings, do they lose rating if they lose against 79s, or can't 79s sign up at the moment?

Or are all the ratings from before pre-patch? In which case, how is it going to work in Legion anyway?

The bracket is 70-79. Everyone, even non 70s, have rating and mmr and will gain or lose points from queuing.
But only 70s can currently see their rating on this site. Adding a ladder for 79s would be great for those who twink 79, but would be bad for those who twink 70 because it encourages even more people to roll 79.

As someone who has played level 70 for many years it's obvious what my opinion is.
I personally look down upon those who roll 79 now just as I looked down upon those who rolled 74s back in 5.3.

Advantage > Disadvantage.
 
I play both 70 and 79, with the level scaling now being re-implemented, I don't see how it's THAT much of an advantage. The only thing the 79 is getting is mastery and a level 75 talent. If level 70s want to, i dont know, show a certain skill cap, I say let the bracket happen. And as for the comment about 79's farming 70s. Bro, the bracket is merged with xp on and xp off, you're a level 70 farming non geared people, it's basically free rating all around. Just my thoughts. At this point it seems that too many people would complain about there being a level 79 bracket. I don't blame healium for not wanting to implement a 79 twink bracket for skirmish rating.

Not sure which comment you are referring to. Also not sure what you mean by "non geared people". You realize everyone has set stat templates in instanced pvp now, right? Level 70s are not able to reach a high enough ilvl to affect this template by even 1%, meaning as a level 70 you are always playing with the lowest amount of stats possible in the 70-79 bracket.
