What are the best palas nowadays? Holy (shockadin) or prot. Mainly for 2v2s and bgs
Except there's no actual point in going 79. PvE becomes faceroll and nobody respects you in pvp, people will refuse to play with and against you and you won't be allowed to enter twink guilds or tournaments. You would be better off going 79 with 308 gear etc, and shockadin > prot by far!

On topic: just go ret, it's the only good paladin spec. And you don't need to go 71+ to be viable (no spec in the bracket does)
You kinda said it there, the only good spec for pala is ret, but you don't need to go 79 to be viable. How does this apply to holy pala's? They're shit without wings AND sac, so might aswell get wings imo.
How can people not "respect" a level playing field? I would rather play a 79 hpala than another fotm class at 70.
Yeah, no. The bracket is non-existent as it without people rolling higher levels for advantages over genuine 70 players. NEVER go anything over level 70 because the activity that we do have at the moment definitely does NOT include those types of characters; no pre-made Bgs, no pvp events and no 70 raids.
Any class/spec can be viable at 70 - granted, there are fotm classes/specs which you're not going to be able to do much vs as a default but that's the same with every bracket/xpac. If you play your class well you'll still beat the retarded backpeddling fotm players without too much effort.
On topic: Ret seems to be the better spec in this bracket.
And if everyone went 79 you wouldn't have any problems ever?
I mean, I get it in the f2p vs 29 discussion, but here it just seems kinda pointless.
There are pve reasons as Gucciyo pointed out, but I think the biggest reason people stay 70 is because a lot of us have characters that we put a lot of work into. Leveling them to get an advantage in pvp that may or may not be temporary seems like a big waste. Besides, the level itself is kind of iconic. It just wouldn't be the same being the "79 bracket".And if everyone went 79 you wouldn't have any problems ever?
