70 DK Twink

going to be looking if my Dual wield Frost is still viable
 
DWing a frost DK was viable when it was a tank spec, but blizz made blood spec the new tank spec along with this change Threat of Thassarian - Spell - World of Warcraft which killed any thoughts of DW at 70. but even prior to those changes many frost spec DKs were going to 2H for stronger attacks

as for players above 74 and at 90, there is alot of controversy over Threat of Thassarian - Spell - World of Warcraft or going 2H.

i saw a blue post concerning DW in WOD, i think they are going to make it the best choice for frost over 2H and remove the 74 requirement so it gets used earlier. sorta the same tactics it took over the last 3 expacs after BC to get swords out of the hands of sub spec rogues

You're wrong. Unholy is far superior to both Frost and Blood. Gnaw is incredible and the ability to spam 6 death siphons in a row is just so much better than having 2 baseline death runes. If you think Frost is even remotely viable at 70 then you must've not been playing DK on decent ratings ever.

Thanks for this info. I am new to the bracket and was told to go Frost -.-. I'll check out UH. How would you say the best way to play is? Would it be getting a trinket with strangulate, gnawing and then 6 death siphons? Why is Frost not viable? I'm assuming over 2k+ you just won't get 4 DS's off on someone?

You just play asphyx, use it on the healer every single time you have it up, gnaw the other guy if you have it and pump death siphons into him. Rinse repeat until they run out of CDs. Always play in Blood Presence.

Frost isn't viable because you don't have the pet, you lose 35% strength, your main abilities (howling blast, frost strike, obliterate) all hit like wet noodles, death coil costs more so lichborne is worthless, your diseases do no damage.

Hello!

I just saw that thread where one guy was asking about rank 1 dk

Someone linked the armory of this dk Dannyraise @ Argent Dawn - Community - World of Warcraft

Maybe you can look at his setup and learn more about how to gear a dk at 70

One thing, his setup is meant for a skilled player and he probably change it depending on his arena partners or if he bg. So don't copy it cause it will probably not work for you.

We need to see more DKs around.

I know this is an old thread but how do you get the most burst as uholy? I use plague leach but still only get 1 death siphon then the cd, whats the rotation to get the most damage output?
