70 BGs

Hi guys,
Ever since MoP got introduced the BG queues has become slower and slower and now it has reached the point when it does not pop at all (afaik) which is really sad.
Whenever I log one of my 70's and queing for a BG it is not even any average wait time and I end up just logging out after 30 minutes in que.

So my question to you guys is do you think 70 BGs will ever become active again?
 
just do arena!
 
I do not enjoy arenas at all right now, simply not fun to face 72s/74s and stand no chance whatsoever vs any team with brain.
 
The ques are 4-5 hours on average from my experience (queing from ally)
And I don't seeing it becoming more active. The bracket has really suffered from the last patch.
 
I've parked my 70 char, and under the motto of "if you can't beat them, join them" i lvled a 72 druid and having loads of fun in arena. Its a pity about the 70 bracket i really hope future patches will revive it, and i hope most people will keep their 70's intact, but in the meanwhile just come along and do 71-74.

You might be hating on everyone who is 71+, like i used to, but tbh what is the point really. Fact is, its not an even playing field anymore, and nothing we can currently do will change that. Might as well keep the bracket somewhat alive and join the rest who is already 71+. It doesn't take that much to level and gear up a new char, and its fun to rebuild a char and slowly get it BiS.
 
Dead on EU. Parked my 70 too just in case but in my experience when a bracket dies, it never comes back (might as a project but it usually dies out after a couple of months and faction imbalance). I've seen it with 29, 39, 60, 80 and now with 5.4: 70 and 19.
Luckily 24 and 85 are quite actives. I hope those will survive.

I'd rather roll in an entire other bracket than join the 71-74 one. I wouldn't mind if the 71-74 bracket existed by itself. But the fact is that the vast majority of 70 twinks on EU (outside of Argent Dawn, where the main guild prevents people from doing it) has leveled to 72 or 74. This whole 71+ thing has essentially destroyed the bracket, and as OP said, BGs are no longer popping at all.
This bug will eventually get fixed, by accident or intentionally, in the next hotfix or in five expansions, who knows? And then what do we have? A bracket split in two. A bunch of people who leveled their level 70 to have an advantage in arena while it lasted. Do you think these people will roll another 70? I think the majority won't.
The 70s bracket has taking substantial permanent damage from this.
 
Yeah, i've never really understood the point of leveling a twink out of its bracket, the time and effort to roll a new char seems far less then destroying all the love and work that went into making a proper twink.

Come join us at 85 then :p Its still slightly broken, but not too bad, bg que's are good, and gearing up is quite easy.

Blizz made WOTLK free in MOP and many players that were capped or trapped at 70 now could level to 80 and that gave some life to the 80-84 bracket which has now crashed due to CATA being free now too. but 70 ques suffered alot with free WOTLK, it was no longer the most active bracket with 24-7 BG pops with even AV pops at 2-3am

btw when BC was made free and added to basic game the 60-64 bracket pretty much crashed and that is when 70-74 saw it's boost. if blizz ever expands F2P past level-20 that bracket 20-24 will crash too.

right now 70-74 bracket is not crashed totally, but que times are excessively long. yeah it may show 32-39 minutes like it does for me, and 52 min later still no pop.

to get this bracket really active it may take players to que for the same 2 specific BGs that most will agree on and no one blacklisting any BG

The bracket was almost completely dead at the start of MOP, but it gradually went from 3hr queue times to 45 mins to 15 mins to almost instant, by the time i quit the queues were still pretty damn quick but loads of people, a lot of old time twinks, have quit since then.
From what i've heard, i dont see redemption in the 70 bracket, far too many morons now. I think its now a case of "If you cant beat 'em, join 'em" kinda thing.

This exactly.

There are many many old dedicated 70 twinks that are still highly active. Another reason our BG Queue times are so long would be from the need to turn your experience ON to queue for Arenas, leaving quite a few twinks out of the queue.

So what can you do? Sit back, watch it crash and enjoy the tight nick community we have because it will get popular again after SoO is on farm status. I'd recommend playing another account while in queue to occupy your time if you need it.
 
got a pop today at 2:54 pm while doing a JC daily. i qued leaving dalaran and AB popped.as i was 1/4 into storm peaks looking for a dragon

i don't know if something changed with the recent hotfixes and sub-patches cause i was under the assumption that as a 70 you were gimped and had to go to 71+ to get full enchant values. that was one of the reasons i was not queing. i didn't want to level my 70's, regem with BC gem/ench and still be gimped in a BG

in a BG just now all my WOLTK gem/ench were at 100% values as before, after i left the BG of course they drop.
 
There is still people who wants to play 70-74 bgs so should we make queue times to get pops. 18.00 on weekdays for example. 19 on weekends?
