69 Rogue Guide (WIP)

Greetings fellow 69'ers

I'd like to get feedback on a guide for making a 69 rogue. I'd like this to be a Work In Progress and continually update it as more information comes in. Feel free to post any updates or any information that can be used for 69 rogues.

Professions

Engineering is going to be a staple skill for pvp because of the head piece. Your second profession is purely dependent on how you want to play. A solid choice to pick is Skinning for the added crit bonus or Leatherworking for increased wrist enhancements.

Misc Notes

The +hit cap is 75 for Melee in this bracket

Group with 80s whenever you can. You want to keep your XP gains at a minimum once you hit 68. Northrend quests give upwards of 20k XP for turning for regular quests and 40k for the quests that take you into instances.

If there are gear drops that drop from Outlands quests requiring level 68+ to start I opted to do those quests AFTER my Northrend quests

Maybe its just me but I've noticed that the best 69 twink gear is generally the stuff with decent stats and lots of gem sockets.

edit: Oh and Hourglass of the Unraveller is definately worth mentioning

Could just be you. As the title states this is a W.I.P. If you have anything better to add feel free to make the suggestion and it will be added.

On that note I've added Hourglass of the Unraveller lol

Meh, no worries. It's just water under the bridge.

So far though I have included several pieces of gear with lots of gem sockets like Deathblow X11 Goggles, Stealther's Helmet of Second Sight, Necklace of the Deep, Warden's Hauberk, and Shadowstalker's Leggings.

I'm the kind of person that likes to collect all available gear that can be used for a given bracket. I'm mainly writing this guide as a "catch all" for gear and not necessarily a Best In Slot guide. People's play styles vary and I'd like this to be a guide where you can pick and choose which gear pieces fit according to your playstyle.

SHARK STABBER is a good dagger from a escort quest, have a 80 clear the area and no XP from mobs other than the quest turn in

Hello, I just signed up so I could comment on this post. I want to thank you Shroomo for this guide. It helped me alot to finish my twink.

My Mutilate Rogue

The World of Warcraft Armory

Of course I am open to any comments or suggestions. =P

Hey everyone.. is it worth to roll a rogue? I've only been active in low level brackets so far. What I want to ask: Do you have any chance against pallys/deathknights?

Or is a 1vs1 win just impossible? I had a WoW break the last 3 months, so I don't know what class is OP at the moment :).

Although I haven't been playing this bracket for very long, it is very clear that the retadins and DK own in this bracket. I have been on the receiving end of more then one thrashing hosted by a paladin/DK.

With that being said, Rogues are the top of the food chain. I can't count how many clothies I have killed before they are even out of stun. :D

Woohoo a fellow Retaliation player, welcome Nin!

You might remember me from 49's on my warrior Carcass. :D

Hey everyone. Thanks for the comments and additional help getting this put together.

I've updated a lot of information on the first post. Added the new items, included a couple spec choices (although it's not broken down, you can look at the stickies for closer look at spec choices), consumables, and I've included a new Chardev profile for what appears to be the most optimal choices.

As always feel free to comment with your suggestions or if you have additional stuff to add.

Cheers
