Guild Focus: 60 Twink PvP (World, Arena, BG)



About our Battle Group: StormStrike battle group is the most active battle group for 60 (Capped account) twinks. The ally to horde twink ratio is about 2:1. Warsong will pop steady throughout the day. AB is few and far between. AV usually pops up in the after noon and will have anywhere from a 5-20min wait in between queues. no matter what you queue up for you will find a 60 twink in your BG. We are the only battlegroup who has full 60 pre-mades wsg's on a consistent basis. We also have Arena nights, and there is never a shortage of twinks in AV no matter what time of day you play.

About Mal'Ganis:

The Good

- easy to get quality pugs for instances (resulting in fast painless clears, and fast gearing)

- Great AH, you can find almost anything you need for a reasonable price and in mass quantity.

- The largest Ally twink guild in the battle group shares the same pvp server with us (DIRTY), along with the most

well known ally twink guild (RT9S)

- Some of the top pve and pvp 80 horde guilds call Mal'ganis home.

- It is a 20:1 Horde to ally ratio

- There is rarely log in queues



The Bad

- Latency can be an issue for west coast players (This server is located on the east coast)

- Log in Queue times on patch days. Though I have yet to see a log in queue i'm told during patch you can wait upword of 12-30mins to log in.

- Trade chat is a spam fest

About us:

LCS, formally Wargasm of Draka was formed in feb 2010. In our time on StormStrike battle group we have achieved full 60 pre-made WSG/AB matches, hosted arena nights and formed one of, if not the most active 60 horde twink guild in North America. On a bad day we have 5-9 twinks online during peak hours.

It's all about having fun in LCS. Raids, old school instances, Arena's, In house Tourneys, world pvp, pre-mades we do it all. With all the haters out there we still continue to have fun and grow. Toss up a app if you love twinking and hate alliance.



Requirements:

1) Ventrilo and the willingness to use it

5) Must be level 60 with at least 300/300 professions. (or one 375engi prof



How we can help you:

1)Guild bank tabs full of materials and gear to help your twink along.

2)We pay your repairs (Pay scale based on rank)

3)We have 80's to help you get your gear from outlands.

4)Hold 40man raids every Tuesday to help get the BIS classic gear for your toon. We use a very fair open loot system made by jesus. Not jesus like up above jesus but jesus the tech from blizzard in cubical 42. this system is known as /random 100. (we use 80's plow through instances, we don't classic raid) Would also like to note that running your own instances is perfectly acceptable if you so choose.

5)We are awsome



What we won't do for you:

- We wont power level toons for you (just no time for it, Find a buddy to RAF with)

- We are not a classic content gearing service. Everyone is allowed a main and a alt. We wont help you gear 7 alts.

- Take your horde alts. We do NOT accept alts of Alliance players of Stormstrike in LCS. (we do accept faction changes)

Uh, first off mass respect to you and LCS, seen alot of good players wearing your tag. But your info on stormstrike/mal'ganis is off... WAY off in some parts actually. I appreciate this is a recruitment post and all but facts are facts and these are not them.



You must be speaking of the weekends when you talk about pops cause WSG doesnt pop all day during the week, far from it. I played an entire day and maybe played 4 WSG games back to back queueing, at one point my queue timer was over 3 hours... I gave up and logged. AVs pop from about 8pm server time to about 2am server time, though the games usually have good twink representation both horde and alliance. For some odd reason there was an average of an hour wait or so. Didnt see one AB game the entire day nor anything in the way of arena.



Horde AH sounds good... Alliance AH sucks so bad... so very bad. There is hardely anything on the AH at all and everything is disgustingly overpriced. Your probably right about the twink ratio being 2:1 in favour of alliance, though id imagine the actual population of the factions is something in the order of 20:1 in favour of horde. In a whole days play i saw AT MOST 6 people in Ironforge at the one time. Stormwind was a ghost town and i could type the ABC's in trade channel one letter at a time and still get through it all before someone else said something.



The ping is bad for anyone on the west coast or anyone playing from australia/new zealand for that matter. I average about 450-550 MS on mal'ganis alliance, thats with the dead state of the faction, cant imagine what it would be if there was actually other players. On other servers (blackrock, jubei'thos for example) i get about 250-350 MS.



Not trying to put people off transfering to your guild (which is great) or the alliance guilds (also great) just saying that for alot of people this isnt ideal. If your a west coast player or from australia/new zealand id advise against moving here unless you are willing to deal with these issues.

Just got off work, its 8:17am PST and wsg is up and going.

Usually a bit earlier, and once they start popping its only in 10min wait between queue's most times.

There is always a few AB's everyday, Arena at 60 is something you have to make an alt and ask the guilds to do. no one's going to queue randomly.

Mal'ganis doe's have its down sides but in our case the up's out weighed the downs. Its a decision each player should research and make on their own before considering coming over. We always look forward to new blood in the guild but would be just as happy to have more twinks join our community on Storm Strike.
 
Av's popping is leaps and bounds better then most battlegroups currently. Most don't even have but maybe 1-2 pops a day. Way I see it, stormstrike is the best place to be currently for 60s.
 
I switched to arms tonight, SOOOOOOO much better.



I have gotten 11 kb's in a single bladestorm lol, my record so far -- hilarious though. If I pop AP trinket I am critting for over 2K per target per swing during bladestorm.

Ya its too bad baldestorm got nerfed "disarm" But we could always use warriors they are my favorite to heal. And yes we run old content for gear.

Yeah, but so far since the nerf, I have not been disarmed once. The average person in 51-60 AV seems to be pretty bad when it comes to PVP.



My battlegroup does not have as many twink guilds like yours does however so this might change on your battlegroup.



Anyway I will switch over early April, and contact you in game after I transfer. Looking forward to it.

Recruitment is going real well. We will be shutting down recruitment for levelers next week for a short time and be open only to 60 transfers. So if you want to level a new toon, now would be the time. Alot of people are still looking for RAF partners just post on the website.
 
With the recent influx of DPS in the guild we find ourselfs dangerously low on healers. Transfers are ideal but still accepting rerolls.

Basically Judis, a friend of mine and I are considering level 60 twinks, we both played during vanilla WoW, and agree that it had, by far, the best PvP ever. We are considering rolling level 60 twinks, and your guild/server looks pretty inviting. We do, however, have some questions to go along with it.



1) To play as a level 60 twink, do you require a vanilla-wow-account, because if so - both my friend and I are on accounts up to WOTLK ><

2) How do the games work, if 1 is no? Does everyone just turn off their XP, and we play against each other?

3) AV? How does that work, I hear its back to 51-60, but if everyone has XP off, I doubt games happen? However, this might tie back in with question 1.

4) World PvP? My friend and I have been horde forever, and some of my (maybe his?) best memories are old school Hillsbrad raids! Loved raiding south shore/defending Tarren Mill. what kind of world pvp do you guys run, and how often?

5) Is there ANY funding involved? I know recruiting has shut down for a while, but we could still level the characters on the server, and wait for recruiting to open back up, or what ever works?

1) Yes, We all play on Capped accounts aka Vanilla Accounts. No x-pac. The best thing to do is use Refer-a-friend to level on new accounts and do not upgrade them.

2) how do games work? capped accounts are mixed in with levelers, Thus why we actually get to play BG's. If you turn xp off you get grouped in your own bracket with other xp off players. There is not enough players to do this resulting in no BG's at 60 at all.

3) yes its 51-60 again. Av is played like it always has been. Except now there is twinks on capped accounts mixed in with the people who are leveling through. Twinks usually decide the outcome of the games.

4) World PvP is something we have in the works with DIRTY (the alliance 60twink guild on mal'ganis) We have taken a few un-successful cracks are Gurubashi arena. Very good turn out, but just turned into a gank fest. We have in the works TM/SS no rules just old school kill um and puch um back pvp in the works. We also go out of our way to find DIRTY while questing or attacking them at the summoning stones before they raid. All in good 60 fun.

5) Funding, meh. We help members as much as we can with end game gear (outlands gem gear/40man raid gear) We however do not power level new recruits nor set them up with gold. Although i do kick down gold for mounts and get people bags, but thats about it. Most everyone is willing to help out some way and generally works out for everyone. Feel free to level and make twinks but I would suggest Applying first, We are pretty open to new players but selective in the type of person we take.
