60 Ret LF weapon, Hand of Rag trash now.

Hey guys, looking for a 2h wep for my ret. Anyone know whats BIS thats still obtainable? Heirlooms better than Hand of Rag now. Dark Edge of Insanity? Any other ideas?

Sul'thraze is supposed to be solid right now. I have not been able to farm it so I use Destiny and it feels pretty good. Earthshaker is a weapon I was looking forward to trying (3 seconds aoe stun proc) but it barely procs inside BGs, or ret simply does not have enough uptime for it to shine.

Aside from Sul'thraze the str proc sword off Razorgore, Baron rivendare's sword and DEoI would be good to have around for varying playstyles. I also wish to try out Malown's Slam as apparently the proc rate is pretty good.

Ice Barbed Spear does an average of 194 damage. Sul'thraze does 135.5 damage on average. So you are losing 60 damage on every special ability you use by taking Sul'Thraze over IBS

Where are these numbers from? I don't have Ice Barbed Spear handy to test but nothing on Wowhead would lead me to believe this is accurate.

Well please post pics as when scaled to 60 Sul'Thraze has almost identical damage range as Ice Barbed Spear and same speed. It is also worth mentioning that if you A) already completed this quest prior to scaling or B) Haven't completed it yet, you are probably SoL anyway, because short of a large organized event or a change in the way queues work, AV will not pop at low levels again.

With the ~11% vers on my Paladin Sul'thraze procs for ~1900 damage combined between DD and dot

Yeah if you are coming back after a while many things have changed. (pic taken from armory so the proc is not entirely correct, but close enough).
