60 mage twink questions

I have decided to make a 60 twink mage. I will stacking stam mostly because it seems the smartest way to against 69s. I will be getting mainly bc and engineering gear. I was wondering what is the spell HIT CAP for a 60 against a 69 and how much SPELL PEN is generally good. If anyone could make a good chardev that would be also very helpful because i dont have a clear idea of what to get. Thanks in advance
 
no point now. can't do av since its 60-69 unless you feel like gimping yourself completely in everything. plus mages get steamrolled by DK's and paladins, which is half the bracket leveling or twinked.
 
I kind of like playing against 60-69 and i thought a mage would do best against tho classes. Unless u know a better class that can be horde. And about being gimped i think its a bit more fun trying to take on higher levels
 
I also like the challenge of 69s against my 60 though I like Paladins in general (even before they got a boost). I am interested in what extra hit a 60 needs for a 69 and whether or not that is worth it (I believe I do miss a lot right now).
 
Mage for me is one of the best choice for 60-69, as frost i dont have any problems with 69. hit point cap for lvl 60 is 136 hit point is 17% hit chance. I use tier2 for awesome 8 bonus set, in this gear i have 58 hit point what is 7% and 55 spell penetration. Also good for 60-69 is tier2.5 from aq40. in this gear i have 88 hit point what is 11% and 85 spell penetration. tier2.5 have nice hit point bonus set, 40 hit rating each time spell is resisted stock up to 4 times.it proc mostly on arcane mages and dk. In tier2 and tier2.5 i dont miss much.

I use only classic gear, no socket outland gear at all.

In WSG yea, but in an AV situation it's more hair-pulling than fun, esp when 6 67-69 DKs who you where kiting their keyboard turning asses earlier all gang up on you multi times because you're made of cloth and lvl60.



So unless you just want to WSG all day vs levels go ahead, but after about the 200th game it gets boring.

At 60 you can have fun in AB, WSG, & AV.



You can get ganked in any BG when you go alone and certainly in AV there are greater numbers of enemy players. In AV the NPCs are also much tougher than they used to be for a 60 so watch out about getting engaged with them, especially when enemy players are around.



That being said you can also group up in any BG and you it helps to use other players on your side for cover & confusion & support.



Ideally find a few friends or a full guild who can play when you play and you will have great times in all BGs... When 4-5 of us 60 twinks go into any BG (AV included) we rock and have good fun. Most of the time it is just 2-3 of us and we do decent as well.
 
Well.. my mage is mostly t2.5 and some gem gear and i do fine in 60-69 ab / wsg bracket. With spell pen and some decent hit you wont miss too much. But even then i dont care when i do miss because when i hit them with ANYTHING its over 1k damage non crit. Mages in pvp are dangerous in this or any bracket. I laugh at dks and paladins that think otherwise when they attack me and get blown up by instants.
