60 Hunter

Hey guys, I made this 60 hunter and i have still vanilla account.

I got some socket gear with BC trial and now im thinking:-



Which gems should I use, Agility or AP?



Which spec should I use?



Which pet?

I am a big fan of 20 Agility gems for PvE, and 10agi/15stam gems for PvP. Some people will tell you 40 AP gems for PvE and PvP, but I honestly hate low crit.



As for pets:

Wolf / Firefly for Marks/Survival PvE, TRex for Beast Mastery PvE (Taming the Kurken is also awesome but TRex is more raid DPS).

Spider for Marks/Survival PvP, Chimera for Beast Mastery PvP



PvE Marks (trinkets are not perfect but easy to get)

That's how I'm set up on my hunter.



You can use the bow from chromaggus or the grand marshal bow for harder hitting multi-shots. But I prefer the bow animations and agility count from that huhu bow.

ive decided to toy around a little with a 60 hunter of mine. and looking to see what i should shoot for.

Belt, Gloves, Legs, Helm and 2 rings.

That is with a decent amount of health with trinkets, if you swap to 10agi/15 stam gems and use different trinkets you can get about the same health.



Moreover, hunters should be aiming for 7k health for sure, I'd almost debate going 10agi/15stam and trinkets for 9k health just to make life a living hell for people in AV.

Is it worth using the Engi goggles over that green BC hat? Im slowly making a 60 hunter

Engi goggles are way worse than the Scout's Hood. Less crit (-0.45), hit (-12) and ap (-7).



Not to mention you lose a ton of dodge which easily makes up for the 150 health or so you gain from Goggles.

and hood has 3 sockets for customization to cover any stats you're lacking. you can cover the 150 hp loss and then some with just one gem, or forget about it and just gem for more dps

They do not stack.

Since they don't stack, you're better off going 4/5 Striker's set and using the 60 PvP helm as it has better stats (well, exact same stats just higher values) then the Striker's helm.

If you don't like using BC items like myself, The above set is pretty much BiS.



4.5k HP, you'll be at the back most of the time. 28% crit and around 2k AP with aura/hawk.

The goal is to be around 1500 AP and then stack as much crit as possible. I 'think' ratings gems at 60 are better than stat gems because of scaling, ie crit, arp, hit, haste > str, agility, etc.
