already got my destiny, working on the last few lvls, and i know sulthraze is a very viable option for the other sword needed, little confused on how the item scaling works with this sword, if you obtain both pieces at a lower level, and wait till you combine it till you're 59, does it take the lvl of the account or lvl of the mainhand (usable one) ??
 
Sulthraze was nerfed in 8.1 to 20% of the previous values of the proc. It's not terrible, but there are other options for you, either a second Destiny, or Princess wep from Mara, or Baron's sword.

Yes you can use lower scaled versions and combine at 59 and it will be scaled for 59. It uses your level, doesn't matter about MH or OH levels.
 
So I got rivendares sword at 55 from a random dungeon queue (I know, right?) and I noticed that it doesn't stack with the AB boots I had from leveling... is that common for all types of speed? Is it not going to go over 110% basically?

No, it stacks with some things. It will stack w/ minor speed enchant (the one without any other stats) and it stacks with the 2% speed cloak enchants. so you can get 122% speed just like that. And there are other things that stack as well.
