At level 5 you can only get 75 fishing, at level 10 you can get up to 450 though
 
Wouldn't that fishing pole, 450 fishing and 225 skinning work as a weapon for mages, locks, priests, druids and maybe shamans @lvl 10 also? I'm sure the crit is by far enough to be worth it over the possibility of enchanting it with 22int/30 sp

Stay 5. You don't catch trash anymore from pools, so you can do the tourney with 1 fishing and have the same chance at the hat as any 450 fishing twink.

does this give spell crit? if so i'll try and get one on my lvl 10 druid

What I mean is:

450 fishing + pole is better than any other 2h for casters (Crescent staff for example). That's what I am assuming. Can't someone try to find a formula or track the crit given by each fish lvl?

Level to 10 to be able to get 450 Fishing for a bunch of extra Crit.
