So I've played around with MM and Surv in some duels and tested some differences on target dummies. Generally, not much has changed.
Here are my conclusions so far for hunters:
MM burst is still almost exactly the same as before; about 9-13k (aimed+chim combo) which also completely drains your focus bar.
Survival had some minor buffs to damage. Arcane shot now hits a bit harder, but costs a lot more focus (10 focus through thrill of the hunt stacks).
But the really nice thing is that explosive shot got a damage buff, and now that it costs less focus than arcane shot, It's actually worth using, which is really good imo.
I will still be playing survival. Since it (despite of having a
degraded version of silencing shot) still has the best CC due to
Trap Mastery and
Entrapment.
The removal of readiness is a huge hit on our survivability and CC. However, silencing/counter shot is now baseline, which frees up the second tier in our talent tree to choose between binding shot, wyvern sting or intimidation.
Since monkey stun DR's with binding shot and Intimidation, and wyvern sting DRs with traps, I have decided to dedicate the second tier to kill-target CC. So I'll be playing with intimidation for now.
