5.4 Feral BiS list

Verenikin

Legend
NOTE: This build prioritizes Agility over everything else, you're most likely going to want to experiment and switch things around a bit for a more balanced gearset, or run with a disc priest when 5.4 goes live as this build is dangerously low on Stamina.
After looking up everything I could and testing various enchants I think this might be BiS as a straight agility gearset for feral using current PTR enchant scaling values (which may change before release). I'm rather new to trying to calculate these kinds of things, so the purpose of this post is so you guys can point out anything amiss/correct any errors on my part, thanks! (don't hate pls <3) As far as I can tell profession perks, while usable on BoA items, will remain how they are now and still require the appropriate skill level in that profession to benefit from them so I excluded items like Secret Tiger Fang Inscription etc. Item links go to normal enchants, I included a value next to the enchant with their 5.4 scaled value. (I also included my current xmog even though it's completely irrelevant, just because it's the only consistently matching "set" for level 19 leather that looked good on a cow :D)

#1 Herbalism: When used with your mongoose proc your attack speed lowers to .60, the heal is nice in a pinch too.

#2 Skinning: Extra crit is very desirable as a feral.

#3 Mining: Mining is good for stacking stam and not much else, might as well get an FC set to compliment it (4,016hp in total with battle standard and consumables, no external buffs).

#4 Engineering: Because it's more fun than mining.

First Aid: Self explanatory.

I'd like to express my thanks to the person that created the 5.4 Scaled Enchant Spreadsheet, without your efforts I'd never have figured any of this out (I can't copy characters to the PTR for some reason).

P.S. the BoA pieces are only upgraded because I have nothing else to spend honor on, they're identical to non-upgraded BoA.

so we need a high lv on the same realm as our twink for the armor kits?

Heavy Knothide Armor Kit is BoE, there should be a large supply on the AH post 5.4 if you don't have a LW that can make them.
For profession specific perks the item will be on your BoA but it'll be red in the tooltip unless your twink has the correct profession and has it levelled high enough to use the enhancement normally.

Enchants can be applied to any item level, but some (including gladiator inscriptions purchasable from a pvp vendor) have a character level requirement, making 19's ineligible. The only other shoulder enchant option is the Inscription profession perk and Heavy Knothide Armor Kit. If there's any others I''ll definitely add them, but I didn't see any besides from those 3 sources. :(

Aldor/Scryer shoulder enchants are bis.

Also scorched leg armor on legs, pvp power on cloak and blurred speed on boots.

What arkant said

Also might want to consider dancing steel over mongoose, procs more often.

And why isn't skinning mentioned as profession

I didn't include Aldor/Scryer shoulder enchants because I was under the impression that they required character level 70 (not ilvl) for the exalted ones and 67 for the honored ones and Scorched Leg Armor required 80, but like I said I don't have access to the PTR so idk if you can enchant BoA then mail and it still work; the Scorched Leg Armor also requires the user to be 80 so I imagine it would be red on a sub-80 toon. If someone can test this I'll update the list as soon as possible! I also don't have enough information on how PvP Power scales at low levels yet, although I know it's bad to gem/enchant for at max level pvp, so I didn't include PvP Power to Cloak. As for Blurred Speed, I don't have any problems closing on a target as it is being a kitty so I figured it wasn't worth sacrificing 2 agility as this is a straight agility build. Thanks for the input, I'll try to get some more info on those items! Skinning has been added, thanks for the reminder.

You get them on your main and put them on your heirlooms, I don't see the problem. NO enchant requires the wearer to have a certain level in 5.4.

Alright, thanks for the clarification, I'll get to work modifying the list and stat gains appropriately.
