Since I've been very busy irl as of late the only thing I've really had time for is to collect enchants. My goal was to be able to supply my guildies and friends with their needed enchants. 100k gold later I still have yet to obtain enough of some more rare and/or pricey items for us all, but it's worth it as I watch the frantic shuffle going on by twinks who waited until 5.4 hit to do some research. XD
That being said I have yet to be able to even finish enchanting my twinks' main sets let alone try anything out other than what works and what doesn't. Not that I am not more than willing to help everyone, but I literally cannot help everyone and I feel like I've been a bit bitter to some in game and I apologize. >.< I'm going to make up a quick enchant guide to give you a bit of a head start and me less of a headache. <3
Here is the spreadsheet that has been a life saver for us. It has all the enchants and their new scaling.
But if you are like most and can't even be bothered to look through that I will simplify it for you. The enchants in red have VERY IMPORTANT information we have gathered that you MUST read before wasting your time and gold.
No, I will not be adding scrollover tooltips for the enchants to avoid confusion.
No, I will not suggest which enchants to use for your twink.
No, I will not be publicly testing the effects and ppm of weapon enchants.
Yes, I will update this as we discover any more bugs or technicalities.
Yes, I welcome others to post their findings on things we have not tested or forgotten.
Yes, I will be leveling a hunter to 80 just in order to apply a scope.
Black Magic - Only procs off of damage spells not healing.
Soulfrost - Current tool-tip is misleading to show it as not scaling down. I have not tested it personally but others have said that the when used the enchant DOES scale down.
Sunfire - Current tool-tip is misleading to show it as not scaling down. I have not tested it personally but others have said that the when used the enchant DOES scale down.
Iron Counterweight - Can only be applied to a TWO-HANDED Sword, mace, axe, or polearm. Effects both melee AND SPELL haste.
Heavy Borean Armor Kit - Must be applied by a 70 plus, but does not bind the item to them. Since there are no boa boots currently you will have to put them on boe boots. Cannot be applied via trade window.
Vitality - Adds 8 spirit but only 1 stamina.
Vindicator's Armor Kit - Has not been tested yet but I assume it will work similar to heavy borean.
ALL SPELLTHREADS AND LEG ARMOR require a higher level character to apply them. For the exact level please refer to the item's tooltip.
YOU CAN send your boa legs to your main who then can apply and return them.
Flintlocke's Woodchucker - Can ONLY be applied to a boa by a hunter that is atleast level 80. Yes, you read that right. No it cannot be done through the trade window or on a boe item.
Glove Reinforcements - Currently does not scale down, thus grants the default 24 stamina. Must be applied by a level 60 plus, but does not bind the item to them. Since there are no boa gloves currently you will have to put them on boe gloves. Cannot be applied via trade window.
Major Strength - Scales down to 11 strength once applied even though scroll tool-tip will still show 15.
Magister's and Vindicator's Armor Kit - Have not been tested yet but I assume it will work similar to heavy borean.
Agility - Currently bugged and cannot be applied to any bracers we have tried. We recieve an error message saying that the item is too low level. The next best would be Greater Agility but we have not tested it. I personally avoided the headache and stuck with Greater Assault for my hunters.
Stats - Currently scales down to add 3 stats, thus better than greater stats.
Heavy Borean Armor Kit - Must be applied by a 70 plus, but does not bind the item to them. YOU CAN send your boa chest to your 70+ main who then can apply and return them.
Exceptional Mana - Same as the 100 mana enchant, it will bring your mana to 1490 to those classes whom benefit.
Mighty Stamina - Currently scales down to 9 stamina, thus better than greater protection @ 8.
Titanium Plating - Have not tested it yet, but to apply you will most likely need a lvl 70 plus main and only on a boa.
Superior/Major Intellect - Both enchants scale down to 6 intellect and can be applied to any off-hand.
That being said I have yet to be able to even finish enchanting my twinks' main sets let alone try anything out other than what works and what doesn't.
