5.2 making prot pally OP?

CC, yes. BURST, i'm not loomed so i'll have to disagree atm.

They have decent cc and subpar burst, unless of course you're comparing them to say fury.

My point still stands. MOP hasn't been mean to low level casters. Hell, warlocks have been MUCH better because of MOP.

It's not just a feeling, every good warlock player I know has told me they were better off in Cata, so I'll believe them.

Even though warlocks and mages have arguably the best cc in the bracket it doesn't matter because they don't have the ability to heal themselves nor do they do enough damage compared to the other classes. It is ridiculous that mages and locks do less damage than priests or paladins or shamans or druids. They have the least innate defenses of any classes and in theory they should be compensated for that by doing higher damage than the other classes. What we have in reality is two classes whose time is best spent spamming Polymorph or Fear.

And warlocks were absolutely better off in cata than in mop. Our skill floor was raised in this expansion while our skill cap was lowered along with a general nerf to damage.

Regardless, now cloth damage casters have neither cc nor damage as we cant land any reliable hits in 5.2. ;)

Except both got huge damage nerfs and have gotten an unreasonable hitcap without being compensated with increased survivability. Mages even had their control reduced. So no, your point does not "still stand".

This isn't even mentioning how cruel giving fire instant pyros and scorch and then taking away scorch and reducing the proc chance of pyro abysmally in bgs is.

what are you smokeing, and is it cheap? dps casters are awful compared to melee and hybrids.

While I don't know much about mages, one class does not not make all low level casters underpowered and im sure destructo just got a damage buff. The unreasonable hit-cap in 5.2 is a bug.

It's funny because when mages and warlocks are played well, they can beat warriors, rogues and monk without breaking a sweat.

yes, whatever you're smoking is very cheap.

While I don't know much about mages
As if it wasn't obvious enough already.

Caster Specs Hurt by MoP
Arcane
Fire
Frost
Ele
Affl
Destro
Demo
Disc
Pre-21 spriests

Casters not hurt by MoP
Resto
Balance
Holy
Disc
Rsham
over 21 spriests

The clear majority were hurt by mop, meaning that it is fair to say that MoP was mean to most low level casters. The hitcap is a bug, but without the bug they still would need to reach the amount of hit to hitcap that a 24 needed in cata, which is still an absurd amount.

Warlocks improved damage wise in MOP, Dpriests have always been OP and right now with the penace damage, they are broken. Elemental Shamans are a excellent support class that got a survival buff in MOP.

Keep in mind that casters at this level have a 10 hit trinket while melee doesn't.

Warlocks did not improve damage-wise with mop, they lost the majority of their burst.

yes, whatever you're smoking is very cheap.

Rogues have no gap closers so you can kite them forever. For warriors, just cc them and don't let them get close to you(they charge you blink). Monks may be a bit hard because they have super speed and brewmaster has a endless snare but I believe it's possible.

Back in Cata, warlocks didn't even have burst at this level; most of their damage came from DoTs. Burst is a new thing for warlocks in MOP now that destructo can do alot of damage in a short amount of time.
