49s in Outlands

i don't know about you guys ... but when i'm bored waiting for WSG to pop - i'm taking over Outlands, collecting the scalps of dead lvl 60+ hordies. and useless Honor Hold tokens from taking over the 3 pvp points.



people will likely ask you "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" or tell you to "go level". but just offer to duel them in HH. they'll shut that gaping hole they call a mouth quickly enough. :)



i pulled in about 15 scalps yesterday. all from "??" level toons. it was good times!



well. until they get on their gladiator 80s and camp you while spamming /spit. but thats just because their pride is hurt. :)



i was thinking about making a video of my adventures in Hellfire. i think it'd be a good watch, some of these fights are pretty intense. lol



anyone else taking over Outlands on their server?
 
I'm considering it on Manno after I finish leveling my lock, been away for the past week because of work/school.



Unfortunately Medivh is only PvE.... I prefer ganking everywhere :D

ahhh. ya, Bleeding Hollow is PVP, so i get to go nuts ganking horde lvl 60+ horde while they quest.



i wonder how well a caster would be at fighting people lvl 58-63. i always remember trying to duel people on my mage that were higher level and getting a lot of resists. but then again, i don't see TOO many spell resists on my paladin as ret (exorcism, judgements, repent, hammer, etc.). so maybe you'd be okay?
 
if anything its easier to cap as a caster since you get more spell hit % per hit than melee hit %



but i still think melee is more effective in ganking higher lvl people, if not just b/c of the survivability from armor (and casters are shut down a lot easier by DKs)
 
I start having issues around 63-64 against DKs from resists. Locks are nice because I can just keep spamming a dot until it lands while running like a little baby.



But I would have to give the ganking advantage to melee. On my (old) 49 rogue, I had little to no issues with casters. Plate was harder, but still very possible especially with the jump.

i love ganking DKs. they're a challenge, for sure. i have it pretty easy as a ret paladin, though. lifeblood and gotn is like a second LOH, pretty much. plus i have bubble+bandaid and LOH. and heals, if i can get them off. plus all the hp i get from light judgement on them. i tried to fight a lvl 62 shaman and he pulled out those damn wolves and beat the living crap out of me. warlocks and DK are tough, but i'm able to kill them. everything else is pretty easy, imo. especially mages.
 
does that Epeen mod still work?



we do so many 2s and 3s on Ruin US, i bet if we got everyone using it - it could be fun to see the results. and i think my rating would be pretty sexy. only thing is that it's based on a "team" and i never have consistently the same person to queue with - because twinks activity is sketchy lately in my guild. i wish they'd make it based off a personal rating. that would be better. then i could pug and still get a rating.
 
I did this also adt when i xferred over to ruin. I had no one to talk to and was bored, so im like why not. Your right about some fights, get intense because your hit rating on them is awful. But eventually you beat em down and its hillarious. Probably one of the more enjoyable things ive done in wow.
 
so last night i was in Hellfire again and i ran into this DK that i had killed the day before a few times. i could tell he was pretty pist cuz he came right at me when he saw me. lol. he put on a level since yesterday (he is now level 63) and man, i felt it. i had to blow EVERYTHING to stay alive and win. but i did win. muwhaha.



of course, he rezzed and killed me because everything was on CD. then he proceeded to hover above my corpse with his flying mount. so i logged my other acct horde-side and whispered him to laugh at him. and then something magical happened:

hahaha. he reported me for "being tweaked" (as he put it). so good! he said i "wouldn't leave him alone and kept kiling him and putting that flag in him". hahaha.
 
Oh god, I forgot about your owned flag. That really would piss people off out there lol.

rofl, it so does!! i had some lvl 62 udead mage log onto his 80 gladiator warrior main and camp me for a good hour. lol. i guess the humiliation of getting owned by a lvl 49 and then getting flag-planted was too much for him.

Wow... there must definetly be some terrible people out there. DK's getting owned by 49's? I don't care how twinked you are, DK's start off twinked as well; there's no excuse except that they're simply terrible fucking players.



Reminds me of waaaaaaay back on my oldschool 29 ret pally, ganking horde in southshore, came across a ?? mage helping a 28 mage while I was running around with another (untwinked, level 27) paladin. Epic battle, the other pally died, I killed both mages. Didn't have armory back then, nor a second account to check that ?? mage's level, but judging from how hard his spells were hitting he was 50+. I wouldn't even say the mage I was fighting was that bad, I was just using everything I had- running through him to break timed casts, dodging Cone of Cold, LoH, potions, trinket, Bubble (used to break sheep, not to bandage), etc. I don't think he landed more than a couple fireblasts on me.



I didn't have an owned flag though :-/
 
when you beat a DK in outlands thats what it is, they just dont know the class yet. also adt is a good pally and can use all his CDs to drop a player so if the DK isnt on top of his shit or gets crit he'll die. other classes starting in OL are prolly just alts so also the people arent that skilled in pvp and are focused on questing, but still takes some skill to drop them not just like any lvl 49 can walk up and kill a 58+
 
ive got a few video clips of "??" level horde getting handled in Outlands. maybe i'll compile a little video and that. i dunno. or maybe just put it at the end of a twink pvp video while credits are rolling.

i tell you what, though. every time i kill one of these guys in a pvp arena, i get a "Mark of Honor Hold". i like to think of them as scalps. and right now i have 20. :D
 
just wait till the next xpac or two when 49s can fly...then really let the ganking roll!
