49 Twink Hunter need help with gear!

Hi there!



I have decided to make a 49 Twink hunter and she is now 48 and ready to start gear up, but i got a problem. There is so much options when it comes to gearing, there is instances, BoA, Professions, BoE and surely more then that, and to pick out the BEST items from all those sources is simply to much for my brain So i touch i would google for an already existing 49 twink guide for a poor hunter like me.

But all i can find is outdated crap with wrong items, to old to even work with the "turn of xp" function, some of them also included alot of INT gear wich is useless for hunters since we got focus. So now i tought someone here may be good at this or maybe even have a guide for it.

First of all I'm sorry for your loss. Hunters aren't that amazing, we are now considered the Feral druid of the 49 bracket. : (



Basically Strat has all the items a Hunter wants, go for Agil/stam/haste(crit) pieces of leather and/or mail.



Diremaul has some gear too but not as much as strat.



Cape, gloves, boots, weapons are from Strat.

DM has your bracers, alternative weapons/boots.

So how bad are they now then? Bad enough to make my lvl 49 a bankchar then delete my lvl 1 warrior (Who is currently my bankchar) and then make a new char and lvl it up to 49 and twink that one ? i got 10/10 chars on my realm btw.

I wouldn't delete a hunter at 49 or write it off. Your best gear of course is probably going to be BOA where BOA stuff exists. There's a great deal of stuff you can get from Strat, some from BRD and I think there's a great quest helm for doing Dire Maul West. Don't know if you can search for it in group or have to have someone run you though.



Just remember how WoW works, a 49 hunter may be down and out (I have one of them.) for now but there's no telling when they'll be FOTM again.

Are Hunters considered stronger at 39 or at the 49 bracket?

they are very good( and retarded) and 39, but 39s are kinda dead right now, and will be moreso if we get anymore hunters.

The game fluxes up and down. If you like playing hunters and feel that you can be competitive with them... then by all means, roll with a hunter!

Are hunters still down? Was thinking of coming back to 49s. I have a couple of old 49s to dust off and my hunter was one. Played it for 5 years before taking a hiatus. Was wondering if it would be worth regearing it.

Survival is prettty good these days, I would say. As long as you know how to play a hunter.

is a pretty good set if you have access to BoA's. There are a lot of options though depending on what ratio of Stam and DPS you want.

Hunters are definately viable. Their mobility is high and so is their burst. Their damage is kept in check by their limited pool of focus but with careful cc work, i dont think hunters have anything to complain about.

I used my Armory Crawl to grab hunters sorted by most HK and activity.



Hunters, even bad hunters, do extremely well in this bracket.

Not sure it helps but Average Health for hunters in 49 bracket is 3450, and average ranged attack power is 830.
