49 Casters, don't bother with the full postmaster set.

Legend
Necropile Raiment is much much better. (taitaih already showed that Postmaster>BiS, so this means that Necropile Raiment>Postmaster>BiS)

If you don't believe me, look at the difference yourself.

(sets have different pieces, so for the difference, we use BiS available, boots enchant: boar's speed for necropile and surefooted for postmaster)

Necropile Raiment + BiS pieces

3 sta and 3% extra running speed (or 9 extra stam if you decide to get boar's speed for postmaster as well, increasing the necropile advantage to 12 stamina)

17 Int

10 Spi

5 Dodge (0.46%)

10 Hit (1.27%)

5 Arcane Resist

20 Fire Resist

15 Frost Resist

15 Holy Resist

15 Nature Resist

15 Shadow Resist

The Postmaster+ BiS pieces

60 Armor

15 Crit (1.36%)

36 Haste (4.57%)

If you're comparing hit and such, you'll have to do an entire set of gear to appropriately get the difference. Besides that the biggest comparisons will be between haste, stamina, and intellect. Depending on what you want, you might want to stack haste (which is what I'll probably be stacking), so I"ll be sticking with Postmasters. But from a statistical standpoint, Necrophile is better at least from the gear pieces you compared. However, since you're comparing different pieces like that, you may want to compare an entire set (both hitcapped basically) to see what difference there is.

what's the point of including the other pieces? let's just ignore hit completely for a second because even without considering the extra hit at all, necropile is still better imo, if you choose postmaster, i choose necropile, i will simply equip whatever you equip and enchant whatever your enchant is in our shared empty slots. and my comparison already shows what i am going to use for head and ring.

I'd still take the Haste and Crit. If you toss the resists, the key stat differences would be the intellect and extra hit versus the Haste and Crit. Given that casters place high value on Haste for CC and damage and the further you stack Haste the more valuable it becomes. You can stack it almost up to 175 and with 120 haste from Lifeblood and perhaps Black Magic, you can reach insane amounts of Haste (300-400).

If you don't value haste, then by all means, run Necropile.
