49 Balance Druid Gear and Spec?

i think the felbane dagger with a drakestone of healing might yield more SP? but anyways yea...its cool but totally situational. melee with 2 shot you, so will casters no doubt. and even if you had a heal bot with infinite mana and skill to keep you up you'd be OOM so fast it wouldnt even be funny. so yea if you wanna attempt to 2 shot a FC then go for it, HOWEVER my druid gets 365 SP in moonkin unbuffed and has ~2.8k hp and 3.6k mana with MotW. still hit 2k starfires unzerker'd/buffed so nothin wrong with a more balanced set imo. but have fun!
 
Max SP sets are fun to work up......that's about it. With 3.2 here good luck doing much of anything in full twink BGs.



And yes I know you said don't comment on your survivability, but what else is there to look at? Unfortunately you won't be 1-shotting a lot of twink FCs.
 
I'm looking for a druid build that will pull some GREAT DPS and Good heals to, basically I want to survive and play a role of getting flag returns if you have a gear or talent set up you think would achieve this let me know, or repost it here.
 
armory my druid - Stevecolbear [A] on Kargath-US (should be in my sig)

balance has great dps and great burst. healing is pretty good, but just drains mana really fast; its hard to dps AND heal even with 3.6k mana (after motw) but you can spot heal pretty well and when innervate is up you basically can go nonstop.
 
Yea my druid's specs are similar to Stevecolbear's but I have not been happy with 49 boomkin at all. I used to have lots of fun as a 29 feral twink, then got bored with that and wanted to go boomkin. I followed the advice given here (really good advice honestly) and ended up with some BiS and some #2 or #3 in slot gear. I just feel I'm too easily killed though, so much so it's annoying. Now with the ability to turn off xp I was considering going back to feral but another thread here sounds like that really doesn't pan out at 49. What's a druid to do?

I've been checking almost daily on the AH for Jadefire Pants or Spellshock Pants but no luck. And I got so many runs through ST looking for Atal'ai Pants of Healing that my nose bled, but no luck there either.



Anyhoo....any ideas?

atal'ai's are good too so keep farming that if you want it.



go resto if you want to survive! but i love the burst and utility provided by balance. resto has great heals and everything, but cant dps for spit hah
 
Balance takes a lot more skill and effort compared to most of the other classes/specs in this bracket that's for damn sure, but I've pulled off some clutch shit in arena simply by outplaying opponents.



It's not easy mode. You'll have to learn how to kite and get away from melee when they can kill you in 2 globals. You'll have to know when to heal and when not to heal, and if make one little mistake it'll pretty much cost you the entire fight. :)
