So I've been leveling a new human Rogue on Moon Guard (US), right? And at the moment, he's like, level 21 so far, and it hit me. I've heard word that this bracket was starting to rise in activity about a month or two ago, and being willing to try new things, I just checked the forum. From my knowledge, games are played regularly without pre-scheduling during Wednesday nights, with a few scheduled games throughout the week. Is that true? I've heard this is a very fun bracket to play in considering every class has a variety of spells worth mentioning. If this is the case, I may make 39 my home twink bracket. More variety in gear/spells compared to lower brackets, as well as better dungeons to do when you want to pass the time. It isn't too far to level as compared to 50+, so it has decent accessibility if you're a good leveler, and I value that. When I create a twink, I usually want to reach the level within a day or two, maybe three.
So, I am making a 39 human rogue. Anything work mentioning about them? How much gold investment do you need to make a very decent/BiS (BiS is a rather loose term due to a wide variety of gear choices, I suppose). Is there a large Grandfather imbalanced putting GF'd characters at the very top, out leaguing everybody who isn't GF'd? Is there a heavy gear imbalance favouring one side for rogues more than another? I think I can muster up the gift cards for a faction change if that's the case, but I'll only do it if it really is necessary to get gear.
Are healers incredibly OP? I know they're OP in experience on, even all the way past 60, but they start to loose their glory once people start getting multiple interrupts/stuns/silences, etc from what I noticed. If they're kill-able, even if it takes a while, that would be good.
My playstyle for a rogue, at least at endgame anyways, is to mainly focus on stunning and interrupting and being as annoying as possible while doing decent damage, but mainly let the other guys stomp on them. Is that a good playstyle in this bracket (I can play both ways easily, and I can do a lot more damage playing aggressively obviously, but I find it works well to be the annoying guy in stealth who stuns and DoTs and just interrupts and distracts/disables the player.)
I have access to every rogue heirloom, though I am certain that heirlooms become unimportant unless it's head and pants looms, but even then, I think that they lose their OP-ness and just become as good as any dungeon blue.
I'm a dedicated player and I really like competitive gameplay, which is a reason why I came here. I hear it's a good, friendly, but competitive bracket. Also, the low populated but somewhat active brackets tend to feel more like a family, since a lot of the twinks you're with or will be facing are usually on TI, you usually know everybody, and we tend to know eachother as internet people rather than a random person at level 20 who you want to scream at. Lol.
Anyways, answer away!
