Well, tbh there is no current state of 39s. its hibernating! A revival will come in March, which is right around the corner. So, make sure to gear up your 39s now while most of the stuff is dirt cheap! Feel free to add me Dimes#1275 for any questions or info.

Private servers don't have the support of Blizzard or many of it's third party supporters.
That is not to say that some private servers may be fun and that some private servers may even be ran as well as retail were in their heyday. They should be ran better actually, because Blizzard has already done most of hard work for them. And they are only running a single server with a very limited amount of players.
