another chest/leg/weapon combo:

this one was never finished, but you get the point. it was based on sp>shadow wrath and stats instead of pure dmg. kinda arena/duell/soloBG setup.

Check my warlock for a good gear setup. He's in my My Twinks tab, Connecthedot.
You could choose Necromancer Leggings over the Shadoweave pants. (Post 3.1 as the PTR stands Blighted Leggings will be your top spellpower and Necromancer Leggings would be my suggestion due to needing to recover from stamina loss)
You could choose a BoA Shoulder over the green shadow wrath (top shadow power) ones.
You could choose WSG Cloak instead of the green shadow wrath one. (Post 3.1 I'd definately take WSG Cloak to recover from stam loss, green wrath is top shadow power tho)
You could choose Robes of the Magi or a green shadow wrath (top shadow power) chest instead of Robes of the Lich but lets face it Robes of the Lich looks the best.
You could choose SoJ instead of Kris+Umbral combo (+11 is best kris), I have SoJ and a +11 Kris (2 of them actually lol) I'm just too lazy to reenchant soulfrost.
Definately Revelosh's Gloves of Healing instead of Black Mageweave (I'm working on that)
You could choose Deathmage's Sash instead of AB Belt (top shadow power).
You could choose green shadow wrath (top shadow power) boots instead of AB Boots tho post 3.1 I'd definately go AB boots to recover stamina loss.
If you're lucky enough to have Lady Falther'ess' finger use that wand as its top shadow power.
Personally for trinkets I like to keep Rune of Perfection equipped for the Spell Penetration and use the other slot to swap between insignia, tidal charm, and engineering stuff/jewelcrafting stuff whatever.

Other than that pretty good, but as you said, not perfect. However if they are a nightmare to you, stack shadow resist *rollseyes at no spell penetration*.

My Affliction lock based on mainly SP, with a balance of stam and int. I consistently do over 100k dmg with minimal deaths, etc. But of course it depends on the player. Regardless, one of the best balanced set ups imo.

FC mage or why are you dispelling CoEX instead of doing dmg and then iceblock?
Ztwopointo seems to use an all out dmg build. these 2pts he would need to get CoEX are spend in 6% shadowdmg/drained life...not really bad if he is dotspamming all the time.
for a PUG/all purpose build i would get CoEX for sure.

He could get rid of Imp Fear and 1 point in Suppression. I find +hit isn't as useful on a lock because we have so many instant casts, if something misses, just use a global to reapply.
Amp Curse is decent for 1 point too, your dot rotation is going to be .5 secs faster every time.

my lock ßà it has the highest possible without BoAs minus one im almost positive (damn you +20 shadow wrath boots) which is at 392 i think. no naxx either 
i sit at 1856 hp and 1972 mana in that set. in my soul link set i sit at 2.9k hp and 2.5k mana, but i still need to go out and get robes of the lich which will bring up my hp quite a bit.
