39 shamans after 3.1.1 help

thank you Maerduk for your information in helping me with a chardev profile. I gave you a thank, and please everyone continue on topic because the information has been EXTREMELY helpful over the past 24 hours with the exception of alttefour type bickering. I will in the future not ask for viability but rather help with certain things.

I thought this was a pretty solid build: chardev.org v6 ~ a World of Warcraft character planner I went into the enhancement spec mainly for instant Ghost Wolf, the extra crit is just a bonus. There are many alternative gear/spec options for you at this level, you will have to pick and choose. Some other options for gear would be:

Helm: Miner's Hat of the Deep

Neck: Glowing Eye of Mordresh / Pulsating Crystalline Shard

Chest: Robes of Magi - 150 Health

Back: Tracker's Wristguards of Natures Wrath / the Eagle

Gloves: Shadowskin Gloves / Crimson Silk Gloves / Black Mageweave Gloves - 10 crit / 20 SP

Legs: Shadoweave Pants - 32 Armor

Ring: Lorekeeper's Ring

Trinket: Figurine - Jade Owl

Trinket: AGM

Trinket: Talisman of Arathor

I always thought this was a pretty solid build: chardev.org v6 ~ a World of Warcraft character planner Of course there are many different gear/spec choices at this level for an Elemental Shaman. I went into the Enhancement tree purely for instant Ghost Wolf. With my experiences as Elemental in the past, Ghost Wolf was always a big help. You could also go straight Elemental too for the extra crit / pushback reduction or spell range but personally I like having the extra escape tactic better. For proffesions I found that Engineering was a must, but aside from that Mining could be good for the health boost, Skinning for the crit boost or Herbalism for the extra HOT. Its all up to you and your play style. Some gear variations are:

Head: Miner's Hat of the Deep

Neck: Pulsating Crystalline Shard / Glowing Eye of Mordresh

Chest: Robe of the Magi - 150 Health

Wrist: Tracker's Wristguards of Nature's Wrath / of the Eagle

Hands: Shadowskin Gloves / Crimson Silk Gloves / Black Mageweave Gloves - 20 SP

Legs: Shadoweave Pants / Wolf Rider's Leggings of the Eagle - 32 armor

Feet: Wolf Rider's Boots of Nature's Wrath / of the Eagle - Surefooted

Ring: Lorekeeper's Ring

Trinket: Figurine - Jade Owl

Trinket: AGM

Trinket: Talisman of Arathor

Hope this helps, if you've got any other questions feel free to ask.

Ugh I just can't justify dropping the cast reduction, crit, and range talents just for imp ghost wolf. It is nice to have it instant cast, but I can usually get away just fine without it. Sitting with 2.5 sec casts on LB is lame. >.<

Oh I know its not for everyone, but I always found it helpful. It all boils down to how you play, I had trouble kiting as a shaman so this was a huge help for me. The other thing I liked about this spec is you get almost as much crit as the Elemental talent gives you, but it also counts for your lesser healing wave(and other skills) which helps with survivability.
