39 Shaman

I have a 39 shammy in the works. I was planning on going Enhancement, and for my weapons I was going to get a mallet of ZF with mongoose or 20 agi on it and the green tower with 18 stam ofc. I was wondering, is this a good combo? or should I just stick to the SoJ till I can get my hands on a PoD?

I used a two hander and carried a mallet and the green tower for paladins and warriors. It worked pretty well against them. I used Obsidian Cleaver from Uld as my two hander, i too was waiting for a Soj and gave up and leveled out.



I might suggest the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander for a shield, you lose 5 stam, but gain in def, str and some armor. I think the proc on GT is bleh doesnt warrent it being purple.

Only use your mallet/green tower on rogues and wars for the most part. Ret paladins if played right should beat you as well as every other non ret almost every time so your gonna want a slow 2her to get that fat WF. I personally use 30 intel on my mallet, although that is just a personal preference as the extra mana is needed for those long drawn out rogue fights(i use lightning shield for rogues not water). SoJ is the 2nd best weapon in this bracket next to PoD, get it even if it costs you an arm and a leg, it is leaps and bounds above the next best weapons, BaR and LoA.

Hi, you should use 2h weapon, the smallest speed weapon as possible... on mine, i use pacificer which have 4 speed.

Someone was talking about using a 1 hander and shield all the time as a dps enh in another thread, it seems like a viable option, but I would consider switching to a 2 hander vs casters as the damage mitigation wouldn't be effective vs spells. I have the bonebiter for my current 2h enh weapon for my shaman. It's a little fast as weapon speeds go, but I'm saving the 1 SoJ I still have for my lock and I haven't seen a PoD on the AH in forever.

some chinese company should focus on farming PoD's and other rarities instead of gold, could make a lot of money if theyre lucky.

Ok so I have a new question. For my 2h (until I get a PoD) what is better, a SoJ or BaR? I don't know a way to look at specific stats on BoA items at certain levels so I am not sure what the stats on a BaR is at 39

SoJ is much better...BaR cant use BC enchants, so your limited to 25 agi or lolsader.

Lol you laugh dude, but sadly there was one on the AH in November '08 on my server for only 180g.... I was working at the time and I get home and my frost mage twink buddy tells me he clicked and saw it up one moment and the next minute it was gone before he could buy it out for me. The day later it was up for 10k. Which, I'm pretty sure also got bought out within a couple days, because I never saw it after that.
