39 Ret

So I'm making a 39 ret and I made up a chardev. I'm looking for some criticisms and maybe upgrades that i may have missed in my search for gear. Also go ahead and comment of the talents/profs/glyphs as well if you would like. And I suppose i should say that i have no access to BoA's on the realm that I'm making this char ><



chardev 8 - WoW Cataclysm



Some comments about my choices



- I really wasn't sure about the belt but the only other option seems to be an 8 stam 8 str 8 crit belt.

- The helm is also probably going to be swapped out on cd but I figured having a charge on a ret paladin must be gold. Although, the only options i saw for swapped out helms was 11 sta 11 str 11 crit and one with 15 sta/15 str

- The pants are between those pants and scarlet leggings. 10 ap vs 10 crit?

- The trinkets: I'm aware that there are dps trinkets and I will most likely get and use them. However, this is just one of my planned sets for a balanced character between stam and offensive stats. The trinkets free up an enchant for 12 str to bracer and hit/crit to boots. I wasn't sure about a good health pool so I just shot for 3k and fell 1 hp short ><

- The chest seemed the best all around chest but there is also the option of higher stam scarlet chest which seems comparable to blood tinged which many people use.



Well that was long but I really look forward to potential improvements. Thanks in advance

For starters, good paladin in general. However those shoulders are currently not available to paladins for some odd reasons(feel free to prove me wrong with a Screenshot) Obviously it's a mistake by blizz.

well cool. I will more than likely run across revlosh of the bear just incase satchets aren't compliant since i'll be getting wrists and boots from him anyways. Any other critiques?

Are you account capped or is there a specific reason why you don't use BoA's? They aren't always BiS but in a lot of cases they are...
 
I actually have almost every BoA on my main realm. However, I already have 9 chars on that realm and I am making a twink on a new realm to play with a guild. Therefor, no BoA's : (. As far as I know, blizzard still hasn't implemented cross realm mailing. If only...
 
So I just dung 37 from doing a few dungeons and I got 2 shoulders out of my bags one being of the bear. However, they're plate ><. The satchel on wowhead doesn't even show it as containing plate shoulders. What's going on?
 
BOA's are about to get BOA, not just relm bound. (Bind on account) so you can mail cross relm. Dont have a source link, but I read it on mmo champion and it wasnt 1. april

I heard about this too, a lot of ppl on vent are talking about it too.

You get both.
 
well hmmm i've done quite a few dungeons and gotten 6 shoulders so far and all of them have been plate...

I've gotten plenty of mail and plate on my 39 paladin. Your probably just getting bad luck lol
