39 resto druid BiS

Im rdruid and they ain't that bad + really fun to play. You've simply got to use everything you got. Check out Hotage (EU) close to BiS, only need boa helm (maybe shoulders)

My resto druid is tons of fun to play, and of course i see when other healers healing me bigger casting numbers but the strength of resto druid is healing the whole team with blanket HoTs. Play what you like! Resto druid's don't recieve credit for what they bring to the gulch. I don't have the best best gear but never felt like less than an asset to the team. The problem is, Priests can HoT (and shield) also, providing great group heals. A Druid's issue is when focused, they have a *very* hard time staying alive. The only time a Druid will be successful is if they are ignored, which shouldn't really be happening. I have a Mage alt that I sometimes play, and there was this poor resto Druid in games with me who I knew would be a force to be reckoned with if I didn't focus him, so I did, and I literally destroyed him in 3 seconds over and over again with a Frostbolt-->shatter combo, and there was nothing he could ever do.

one horror story shouldn't convince anyone against resto druids. They can do the job, not as amazing as priests but they are fine

I say just go for it. What have you got to lose? If it`s pants you can always play Feral anyways, or have a bash at Balance. I`m gonna finish twinking my hordie Warlock who is 36 atm, she will be a challenge to play but I have some plans for her too!

This thread has really motivated me to create a restodruid myself, in the hopes of being able to prove some of you guys wrong.

Hotage can do it, so it should be possible for others such as greentea too, even though it will naturally take some time to get just as skilled and be able to play the class at it's best. So yeah go for it and make one.

How often has EU been able to get games since Cata was released? Are you guys running 5-7 nights a week as well?

We've seen numerous resto druids in action - unless you can somehow magically produce substantially more healing throughput, you won't prove anything.
