but still no pops?

There never will be pops till people wake up to the fact that it is great having an alliance guild with wargames, but until people do a similar thing on horde it will prove fruitless. Any that were horde seem to be rerolling alliance to join you, leaving the horde side even more depleted. Not conducive with getting locked-xp battlegrounds.

Do not get me wrong, I have personally offered to fund people wanting to make 39 horde twinks but had zero take up that offer. The few that were on my server that were/did have horde 39 twinks have either gone awol or quit altogether. I potentially had 3-4 possible horde twinks to start building a team to help fill horde side.

As it stands at the moment there is just me on Arathor EU as far as I am aware. There may be the odd horde scattered on other servers but until this unites like the alliance side has and becomes equal, locked-xp games are all but a fantasy. Hopefully with MoP and the talent revamp it can become more balanced and the bracket can be properly reignited. This is not helped by your guild stating things like "we do not recruit hunters" for example. This shows ignorance of the class and can put off potential people wanting to roll that class and maybe moving them on to other brackets, thus compounding the problem further.

What I am saying is welcome people with open arms irrelevant to what class they wish to play. By all means control recruitment so there is not an influx of one particular class but do not strangle the opportunity. I am willing to bet your guild has more problems with excessive rogues than it has, or ever will have, with hunters as an example.

Good luck with it.

I think the problem with <Highwav> being the main hub of the bracket right now with few players (on both sides) outside of it, is that it only caters to what people want now. Anyone new to the bracket sees it as the place to be and rightly so - regular arenas, WSG and funding where possible, why wouldn't you join? This monopolisation of the bracket whilst being a good thing in the short term does have some negative side effects in the future and some now in fact.

The first issue I see is the twinks outside of the guild. Whether they're old well-established players coming back to the bracket or new ones choosing to start from their home realm for ease, they're going to miss out, on everything really. Unless they transfer to Draenor (and possibly faction change as well) they won't be getting the arenas, the WSG, the funding that I mentioned before. Most importantly though, they won't be getting the community either.

I can see a lot of players being lost before they even have a chance to start, after all the work they've put into their characters, they're simply relegated to dead alts. If they were to transfer to Draenor or reroll in Highwav however, that further compounds the next issue I see.

Currently the community in <Highwav> is great. The resurgence of the bracket is still taking place, there's a lot of new faces and people are getting on well. However as we keep doing arenas etc. amongst ourselves, I'm beginning to see disparities forming between us. While people are still joking around with each other in public, it's obvious that there are some unspoken issues between them. That's a good thing though, people are getting competitive, they know who the want to play with, who they want to play against. We know who's a good prot pally, who's a dribbling warrior. WE KNOW!

On a serious note, that's all that's lacking in the bracket - competition. Sure, it's all well and good doing some friendly war-games amongst ourselves but everyone's got that fighting spirit in them, to kick the can down the street, to put the cat in the wheelie bin. We're strong now, we'll be even stronger when we have a horde guild to compete with. I remember the days of MYL vs. Johnny Berlin... Seffy drinking the water, Marty eating the sausage - that's the 39 bracket right there folks.

Don't take this the wrong way, our community is thriving right now. All I want is for our community to keep thriving however for many days to come.

Thank You,

Retnux / Lola

TL;DR

<Highwav> is a wonderful guild, an inspiring idea even and most importantly a great bunch of people, we need some competition though.

Word.

ok ill bite,

looking for a project for a while anyway, i will roll hordeside draenor, alone and goldless. feel free to join in if you would like.

should any alliance member or horde for that matter feel they would like to donate to the cause that would be ace

boe's being one key part as i will not be using any heirlooms whatsoever.

Pm me for character info, it should be made in 2 hours~ time.

who knows, maybe some other people are in a similar mindset and it will begin something.

even 2 people make a big difference.

for those considering the longevity of the 39 bracket, consider tier2 talents start at 30 come MoP and this will undoubtedly bring attention to capitalizing on the new skiills available then.

See you on Draenor

Hopefully with MoP and the talent revamp it can become more balanced and the bracket can be properly reignited.

This made me laugh out loud. (The funniest part is you probably believe it)

Personally I think it is WAY better to have 20 alliance on a single realm, rather than 10 alliance and 10 horde scattered all over. Big groups helps maintain activity aslong as you maintain a healthy and interesting(competetive?) atmosphere within it.

The tournament Ero setup is a great initiative, because skirmishes will probably become old real fast. Unfortunately the tournament lacks a very important part; reward, something which keeps motivation and competition on it's highest levels. 9 days and not a single game played? That's fucking retarded and without excuse.

The biggest contribution this bracket needs is individual activity. (I know I'm just as bad as the worst, but still..!)

Vaught i could assist you with some gear if i can find some
