So I'll bite and give my .02 cents on this bracket. Everything expressed in this post is simply my OPINION
™, based on my observations. Also for those who may have a hard time seeing colors, most of the class/specs I list have an armory linked to them.
TIER 1 (GODMODE)
Fury Warrior
Discipline Priest
TIER 2 (VERY GOOD)
Arcane Mage
Marksmanship/
Survival Hunter
Balance/
Restoration Druid
Restoration Shaman
Outlaw Rogue
Retribution Paladin
TIER 3 (Competitive in the hands of an experienced & geared player)
Beastmaster Hunter
Feral Druid
Shadow/Holy Priest
Elemental/
Enhancement Shaman
Windwalker/
Mistweaver Monk
Fire/Frost Mage
Affliction/
Destruction/
Demonology Warlock
Arms Warrior
Holy Paladin
Subtlety/Assassin Rogue
TIER 4 (Why Bother?)
Protection Warrior
Protection Paladin
Guardian Druid
Brewmaster Monk
So a quick breakdown of what each tier means:
Tier 1 are busted solo & group monsters, able to take on multiple players with ease while laughing at their pathetic attempts to tickle them to death.
Tier 2 are solid choices that are highly competitive for solo & group play.
Tier 3 are for those players who like to challenge themselves by playing class/spec combinations that are thoroughly rewarding for those who take the time to properly gear & learn them. Because of this, there generally is not a noticeable difference in power lvl between tier 2 & 3.
Tier 4 are for those who love to smash their monitors & keyboards in fits of fury as they continually die in battlegrounds without ever killing a single player.
Now on to bracket culture, queue times, horde vs alliance, etc. I think 39's are in a great spot right now, as they are among the most active (queue times average ~5 mins for alliance, ~10 mins for horde), and I believe it to be a healthier and more fun bracket than the previous two. Reasons for this are: You have access to your second row of talents which provides a little more diversity and depth to playstyle. This is the first bracket where you can use the new scaled epics, which although they are not necessary to have a well geared character, do provide that little extra edge over the competition, as well as swag factor. Gearing and leveling are still quick and easy. Basically all class/spec combos are viable. The communities set up by
@Sun are thriving, though it seems that alliance tends to be more active. There doesn't seem to be a lot of toxic flaming going on, as most players seem to be about playing competitive games against each other, and not about degrading or humiliating one another.
All in all, if you are looking for a fun bracket to start twinking in with a low barrier to entry, 39's are it!
