If the mail is going to expire before three days time you -might- be able to convince a GM to give you access for a day or so. Or they just might re-send the mail so it has 365 days attached to a GM/Blizzard letter.

When I attempted this method, it was actually a lot easier than I thought.

I simply told the GM that I was curious about resubscribing my account. I told him that I liked some of the new features, like the heirloom and toy tab, but wasn't sure if that alone was enough for me to resub. He then brought up the 10 day free trial and lead me with directions on where to find it in my account page.

I replied saying the button was grayed out.

He then proceeded to give me a password reset, and told me that he would just give the 10 day trial because "game time was buggy" atm. He then told me to wait 30-45 mins for approval. He never once brought up my recent expiration date. If he did, he would have easily noticed that I had already had a previous 10 day trial less than a month ago.

Well, after about an hour, I checked back on my account page to find that, indeed, there was a new 10 day trial added to my account. However, once I logged into the game, everything was still in Starter Edition mode, and I couldn't log into anything over 20.

I had to open ANOTHER live chat. This time I got a different GM and I just told her that my 10 day free trial wasn't working. She also told me that "game time is buggy" right now.. and then "toggled" a couple settings on my account and told me to go check if I could log in the game. It worked.

It's up to you if you want to attempt this. You might be able to get more than 3 days out of it.

Worked for me, although still says inactive I have 3 days of gametime added. He couldn't give me 10 days because he noticed I had free time in the past but 3 days is good too. Just said that the 10 day free gametime offer never worked for my main account and only worked for my trial accounts that don't have WoD. After that, it took 10 minutes and he was able to help me out.

You could just say "Hey I get paid in three days but I need to get some things out of the mail before they expire, could you please give me a little spot of game time to cover me?"

Just being straightforward often works wonders with people.

So I tried this method to get a couple days on my p2p account just now, basically asking in a roundabout same way " I am thinking about resubbing, not sure if it's for me blahblah ".

Long story short, he said he's not going to be able to help me in this instance. He checked my account history and said I used my 10 days in January.

He then brought up the fact now you can play level 20's free (which you could before anyway) and that would be comparable to level 90 pvp... I had to laugh.

So I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones. I was polite, played dumb where needed and said the right things but was unsuccessful.

Good luck to anyone else trying this, I may just have to bite the bullet and spend £10 once and get it over with so I can buy the heirlooms.

You can also ask if they'll take the items out of the mail for you. I had some stuff I was worried about expiring once and they moved it to a main's bank for me.

I also got a few hours on a lapsed account so I could mail boas to myself back when they needed mailing, I had to open 4 tickets to get it but eventually they took pity on me. Just be persistent I guess.

You could also try being super vague.

On my linked F2P account before boa tab I got boas by saying "i have stuff stuck in my mail". It worked better than any time I've tried being decently descriptive.

Fill your bags, do a random so satchel gets mailed, ask in the ticket for them to pull it out of mailbox for you. GMs can't add items to your bags, so they respond by giving you a day of game time
