29 Skill Cap

prot pally, goodluck to ya
I actually played ProtRet in Wrath when Aura management and Seal/Judgement twisting were a thing. What specifically does Prot bring to the table now? I honestly never considered that spec.

druids and hunters (ranged), ironically also the easiest classes
Hunter is a no-go. They're way too fotm atm for me. I like the mobility Resto Druid seems to have. How viable are they currently?

Arcane mage and sub rogue seem to be the highest skillcap specs at 29. Arcane mages have a lot of damage, and cc, but can be hard to execute. Have to have good awareness about positioning, so you don’t get globaled while away from healers, don’t blink out of stun and los healer to global, polying correct targets that aren’t being killed, so you don’t heal or remove dots from a target that you are killing, etc. Also, have to know how to fake cast rogues and shit when they are aggroing you, so you can either poly them, bait a kick so your healer doesn’t get kicked, and other stuff.

Sub rogues aren’t like that difficult, just have to be aware when you have opportunities to sap, having good awareness so you don’t blind or sap a target that will be broken with aoe, know when you can get restealths, even when near targets, just to get a quick cs or resap. Also, have to watch priest healers and other healers, focus target and focus shadowstep kick, or focus kick, or focus blind etc, and be wary of fake casts so you are more likely to kick healer. Idk. Might be wrong since I don’t play any classes other than rogue and feral.

99% of skillcap comes from general mechanics (movement, awareness, etc) and 1% comes from the class you play. This is especially true at lower levels where class kits are even smaller. Every expansion it becomes easier to multiclass because complexity is being taken out of the classes, and so only the complexity of the general game remains.

tl;dr there is virtually 0 skill cap difference between classes - if you're good you'll be good on any class

Tons of people wanna be the "big guns" with kills/damage....I'd consider a healer.

hell
yeah
time to solo queue as ally monk for 20-29s bgs

not sure why panda and its double food buff isnt the most played class of all twinkdom. ive been leveling a bm monk exclusively through bgs( not recommended) and love the amount of cc i have. toons who have helpful tools are way more important to a game than damage classes.

So, let me pose the question a different way:

Are there no classes that you find harder than others?
No classes that make you think more? That test your situational awareness more? Test it differently?
Classes or even specs where your mindset is completely different? Even diametrically opposite?

With 19's and 29's in mind, since that's what I played the most:

Probably druids because you can do SO MUCH.

Rogues are also one of the classes that requires some "extra" if you wish to min-max it to its fullest potential.

Mages are also one of the classes with a lot of tools that requires you to "think" more than most other classes if you're looking to truly min-max your play.

While hunters are fotm and easy (thinking of survival), they do also have some depth to them when it comes to pet management and min-maxing your objective plays and utilizing your CC properly. BM/MM will require a lot more from you than survival.

Can't say much about healers on a personal level, but I do experience great differences between a bad to mediocre to exceptional healer. And that's regardless of class really. Priest seem to be strong while having a kit that allows you to do a lot of things, which also means that you have a lot to look towards in terms of min-maxing the class.

can u fking idiots stop getting performance and skillcap mixed up

yes every class is easy to master at 19 and 29, that doesnt mean they'll perform well

just because someone says the skill ceiling is low doesnt mean you're gonna solo bgs and top every chart capping 3 flags and returning 9
