29 rogue

I used to play a 29 warrior and i had the cresent w/ mongoose... with the next patch coming up, rogues will now be able to use axes... im looking at making an alliance rogue and DWing either dal'rends or the new heirloom mace in MH and the cresent w/ mongoose on my OH. How viable of a combo would this be? Since im pretty sure most 29 rogues are dagger's atm.. just figured id ask...

i dont really like a combat spec. I prefer sub with daggers.



The reason rogues are good with Low HP is their very good burst dmg. If you take that away by going combat then i hope you have enough hp.



Another option is to go 16/0/4

i personally might try this^ when 3.2 comes out and i get boa mace and OH my boa dagger.

so in other words combat is bad or not as good at sub at 29, atleast at this time... but if you did go 16/0/4 y would u not get the cresent so u can get mongoose?

Okay, if you wan't to be like EVERY other 29 Rogue in this bracket, go Daggers, 16/0/4 or 15/0/5.



The burst from Daggers is great, you get 400-500 Backstab crits ocassionally, which is pretty nice. I find Daggers pretty annoying when fighting Hunters, Swords is as good as Daggers, it isn't burst, but it's substained dps. I get around 200 SS's and 150-300 melee swings, which is awesome.



But if you wan't to be different from EVERY other 29 Rogue in this bracket, try Swords, 0/20/0, 5/12/3, 0/17/3, or even 7/0/13(Sub).



My favorite is 7/0/13, a.k.a Bleed Spec, it's great when fighting Rogues, Warriors, etc, any class thats kitable really. In the battlegrounds it stills does decent damage and it's fun.



Don't let anyone tell you combat sucks, just because 95% of the Rogues in the 29s bracket are Daggers doesn't mean swords suck, don't be one of those guys, go ahead and try Swords.



As my experience of being Swords for a year, I find it easier to kill, puts out more damage, etc.



For the Axe with Mongoose question, I would get it, but it's only 1ppm, which isn't all that great.



It's pretty much the choice of burst or substained dps, also If you want me to post the specs I will if you want me to.



Armory my Rogue, Zeiren. Also another good Combat Rogue is Kuntuhkinte, except I would put full 20 in Combat.

Personally Id get 20 agi on the crescent, the reason is that you wont benefit from mongoose for the most of the fight, especially in the first few seconds.If you want go deck out your rogue, go with Goose on skullbreaker, 20 agi on crescent and weapon chain on the other horde axe for rogue duels (and switch to your normal OH after his dismantle is on CD).



For a dagger spec, 15/0/5 is much better imo, +stealth is way top important.

crescent/mongoose is for showoff and "I CAN HAZ PROCZ"



it is a very very good OH imo, but i would prefer 20agi on it. get a hard hitting MH and enjoy the constant high AP/crit this OH will grant you.



reasons?

1,6sec is too fast to not be delayed. with softcap you will get 0,81PPM decreased by delay. i have something like 24agi+haste in mind as an equivalent to mongoose...decreased by delay and wasted seconds of uptime.
