29 druid, sucks?

Skull breaker/witch's finger with 30 int (or maybe even spellsurge, with 22 int on a different weapon), switching to staff of the shade / 30 spell power ought to be your best bet.

Ofc BoA mace/staff beats the above, but not everyone has access to that kind of luxury!

Note that the feral weapon [item]Manual Crowd Pummeler[/item] with a counterweight or spellpower enchant can make a sick flag return weapon for balance druid - as the USE gives you uberquick starfires for 30 secs.

I should mention this gives 123.81% haste at level 29. Turns your 3 second Starfires to 1.34 second Starfires and you can machine gun out 0.67 second Wraths :p (before counterweight speed as well).

Also if you'll recall, they are creating a rejuv glyph that makes it tick faster depending on how much haste you have. Pop this, and you could well end up with rejuv ticking away every 1.34s as opposed to every 3s :) Worth considering!

owell, put fiery on that thing and a warrior would do massive dmg id think

Can't comment for 29, but 39 feral spec with healing worked REALLY well in arena. Even our top Druids couldn't hack resto in arena at 39, anything with a rogue you're invariably dead, anything with 2 DPS you have VERY little chance. Feral with survival instincts, thick hide, and -6% crit change for enemies, not to mention the tonne of int you can get, make it versatile and hard to nuke.

I'm trialing 29 out, so we will have to see. Can anyone sum up the brackets dynamics in comparison to 19/39/80. Is this bracket built around 1 shotting people? Or taking down targets in 5 seconds? I'm deciding on sword spec imp gouge + glyph rogue vs ambush rogue. At 39 ambush doesn't work, but looks brutal here.

no theres no oneshotting here unless you do deathray and some supergrenade. about class balance in a wsg comparison to 39, hunters are better here, rogues are worse (the lack of ks is the worst), warlocks are worse, priests are the same, retpalas the same, holypalas better, mages worse, protwarrior same, dpswarrior worse, spellshamans about the same, havent made up my mind about the druids yet, not many of them around.

A while back there was a 19 druid proposing a full haste druid and I think I put somewhere some items for it up for a 29 version as well. Well now I got a link for a chardev which seems like fun : Balance specced haste druid.

When popped on the mace it should give 137.76% haste and with a crit the cast time of your spells should drop another 20%. If I am right this should end up with a wrath cast below the 1 second....

I get 0.67sec wrath and 1.34sec starfire when i pop the mace without any other haste. Thats very good and i have it enchanted with +30sp.

With the spec, gear and enchant choice above you're gonna lose dps instead of gaining imo.

Indeed, for dmg and utility purpose a feral druid is in general just utter fail. The flag running capabilities of a feral druid aren't bad tho, so if you like to be a 24/7 FC then this could be a decent pick.
