20s Resto Shamy

Hi, do you play your resto shamy because you want to heal or because you want to deal damage with chain lighting and stormkeeper?

If you want to play it because of damage then avoid mastery as much as possible and go stack versa with haste and crit.

Mastery as a resto shamy, kinda useless if you want to deal max damage.

Just a resto shamy running Shadowmoon Burial Grounds (overall damage from 1 run).

We just got nice buff to damage from the last patch (10.1.5).

Just curious @Paranoia - did you use any simulators to arrive at your conclusions above, or are those simply your findings from trial and error, playing Shaman in retail (maybe?), etc.

I’ve been curious since I know simulation tools are generally prone to error unless max level.

I did alot of runs of WoD dungs, defeated more than 6.000 WoD bosses with many different twinks.
Mostly with lvl 20s like sv hunter (very well geared), arcane mage, mw/bm monk, ele/resto/enha shamy etc...

I did around 3.000 kills as a solo and another 3.000 kills beeing in a full party with random players, so my findings are pretty much based on my experience.

From my point of view, I can say that literally no one (no other spec) beat me in terms of overall damage and DPS when I played Resto Shaman when comparing to any other lvl 20 twink. I even beated alot of lvl 10/11 twinks.

The highest damage I've ever seen playing my resto shaman was using Stormkeeper + Chain Lightning hitting a primary target for 7.000 dmg and a secondary target for 7.000 dmg, and that was just one load out of two.

No sim tools were used only the Skada damage meter.
