20 Rogue weapon advice

And if I can't get a doomspike to drop? I've had no luck.

okay thank you. Would a mainhand dagger get a harder crit for ambush or no?

not sure about the slow mace in sub spec, backstab does a lot more damage (& requires dagguer)

the mace or any slow weapon is good in combat spec.

what does Aep mean on shadowpanther?

Should I get Balanced Heartseeker's or Venerable Mass of McGowan's or Venerable Dal'rend's Sacred Charge? I'm currently just using Wicked Daggers, need some things to spend my excess honor on because I have my main BoA's already.

At the moment, Wicked MH Doomspike OH is the best combo, but Scarlet OH is 2nd best. Currently, SS spam is too weak in comparison to the burst of BS, that there is no justification for SS except in rare circumstances where you'll probably end up dead anyways.

This may change with Hemo and MoP.

rogues from the changes incoming are showing rather gimped, can't seriously see anyone wanting to roll a F2P come MOP or even a 24 P2P. only thing rogues are getting back is slice and dice. and the new talents are not enough. rogues are losing mobility/utility. roll a feral druid if you want to play a rogue style player

backstab to level-40
vanish to level 34
improved poison to level-30
gouge to level-22
sprint to level-26
shadowstep a level-60 talent choice for all 3 specs

gouge, SS, and sprint really help alot dealing with hunters to some degree, without them rogues are kite candy. one fear from a lock/priest even with a trinket you have no way of getting back to them before you are dead. one frost nova/sheep even with a trinket use, a mage will lol-kite you just like a hunter

i had a 10 twink rogue, gaining SS was nice but when sprint was nerfed to level-16, my rogue was worthless in escaping, positioning., no longer fun, and a easy kill.

use no improved poison then take gouge, BS, SS, and sprint off your bar/keys and go into a BG...that is your MOP rogue

Looks like im making a feral druid then :S I'm working on an enhancement shaman idk how well they will be in Mop though.

Wicked Dagger is MH, no comparison
Lots of people argue over Doomspike and Sharpened Scarlet Kris as offhand.

Doomspike- Gives +1 agility, +0.3 dps, +0.1 speed (for poison procs)
Sharpened Scarlet Kris- Gives +3 resiliance (1.63%)

Decide for yourself but you're going to have to farm BFD constantly to get Doomspike so just get a Kris.

Example of how long It'll take you to get a doomspike unless you're a lucky bastard:
I do regular daily BFD runs, have been ambassador for like 2 months, farmed every BoA that could offer any advantage in any form of combat, have 2 Kris for poison swapping, have seen 2 Rings of Precision, and still have never seen a Doomspike.

just check the same link, click on shaman,
you'll see the available lvl15 spec talents + all the talents you get up to lvl 20

ghostwolf seems to be instant, & enchancements get a totem/shield with a 1min cd, sounds really good. not sure what talents they will remove though, it's not listed here.
