auctioneer used to do this back in the day before i stopped updating it...you'd set the price you were willing to buy and it'd show you the auctions that were up for that, or the certain % under real market value, etc. it wouldnt purchase them for you but it would tell you which to buy basically. automating it might make it a bannable offense but idk =/

sure but aren't there are other people playing this game (there's like, an entire simulated free market on every server) or maybe i've just been hallucinating for the 3 or so years i played, which isn't actually an unrealistic proposal

haha, this just reminded me of the big automated auctioneer sweep in Vanilla where about 20 accounts including our guilds MT got banned for using a automated script.

whats your point? to get the gold cap multiple times you need to play the AH...that means scamming people when necessary, artificially inflating market prices, etc. alls fair, there isnt any SEC or gov't entity making sure you're fair.

my point wasn't any of that and i've lost interest in the conversation but you don't need to do any of that to make a lot of gold. of course it brings up a variant of the most boring argument of all time which is ethics vs legality so let's not even begin to discuss that over a boring wizard game for autistic people lest i cry tears of actual blood

its a game nerd, there is no "legality" issues when ripping kids off in it.

The is just awesone. I did that to someone trying to use the nuetral AH to sell a hard to obtain engineering pattern once, whats the best part is i used an alt i use for working the AH and when the hate mail started coming i just transfered the stuff i had on the toon and gold to my bank alt and deleted the toon i bought it with.

Luls what is funny is the people who buy gold and get hacked later on dont realize that you can give them a different email that is not associated with your game account and they would never know. Take that for what you will but sometimes patience with farming and playing the AH eventually wears thin.



On that note stacks of adamantite sell for 60 gold on my server woot, making hand over fist as I try to hit 450 on my 60 paladin. Also Khorium bars sell for 30g a piece (selling khorium power cores for 100g a pop, best thing I have ever done in a while next to selling battered hilts when they were going for 12k on my server.



Kind of pissed about rated BGs though. Engineering would be making a lot more gold if it was aloud in rated bgs. Now everyone is going to drop engineering for jewelcrafting and blacksmithing to get the most optimal stats in max level pvp.

This is not entirely true, You dont give them your email, You have a 0% chance of getting hacked if you don't give them any account info :/.

There are quite a few ways to get gold, You can use the auction house.

Put up a piece a bread for how much gold you bought.

You can do it face to face trade, or you can let them on your account (Bad idea, but cheaper)
