19s: Make a F2P 20 for Arenas

hello 19s, i am making this thread to reach out to 19 arena players. as you all know, activision disabled arena skirmish queuing for low levels, so it is no longer possible to have cross-realm arena matches. there are a bunch of F2P players (level 20) who have formed an arena community on one realm, Aerie Peak.



we're looking to enlarge this arena community. in my past experience in the 19 bracket, there is no shortage of players who think that they are god's gift to WoW, especially when it comes to arenas. perhaps you would like to come play with us and show us what you're made of, since you no longer have the opportunity in the 19 bracket.



making a F2P 20 is extremely easy. it can take less than a day to get a complete character (minus AGM and LFH) if you want to. if you choose to make the 20 on your P2P account (following the really basic 'rules' for a 20 arena character), it's even easier. it's something that you can do when you're bored of 19s or when you want to get some quality arena games in.

Cotus tells it like it is. There is a big mix of players on AP f2p -- the best players are very solid and worth going up against if you have f2p-equivalent gear. Plus there are plenty of average and less than average players. The best thing is that there are a ton of players, US and EU, playing on AP, so even off-peak there are enough to put together several arena teams and premades.

Mmmmm probably a bad idea, seeing as how BH would require $25 or rerolling, grinding gear and enchants, where as a 20 is like quest blues and 10 silver enchants. PLUS MOUNTS OMFG.

i saw the thread about migrating 19s to bleeding hollow. choosing between paying $25 USD to transfer your 19 and spending a day rolling a "P2P" 20 is by no means a mutually exclusive proposition. if you're committed enough to twink arenas to drop 25 bucks (or re-roll a whole new 19!), then you're committed enough to spend 1-2 days making a 20 twink for arenas.



i watched some of the 19 arena videos that were recently posted on this site, and tbh i was not very impressed. this is not a knock on the skill of the players i watched; it just appears to me that 19s are currently very poorly balanced for arenas. i'm sure that you will agree with me.i can tell you right now that the F2P 20 bracket (save hunters) is surprisingly balanced for arenas, and this is coming from someone with extensive experience playing twink arenas over the years. if you're a legitimate arena player, you will definitely enjoy it.



when i twinked in the past, i was always looking for an environment in which players could finish twinks as quickly and easily as possible and immediately jump into arenas. finally, we have that opportunity. it really is that easy to make a twink and immediately start arenaing with other very skilled players.

Imo a great way to waste $25 and hope for an A team spot. Maybe you guys could do an AV or something, seeing as how I doubt more than two guilds will survive, and they'll just suck up all of the players.

Basically, come to AP if you want to, if you dont want to, then dont. We aren't trying to tell the 19 players anything other than there is an opportunity for more-balanced arenas at level 20. It really is alot of fun and if you roll a p2p 20 we have people that can fund you with a few cheap BoE's and shit. Not to mention the 1 stam bracer chants hahahaha

The internet sucks here at my college and I forgot to bring a cord. Not like it would matter, I wouldn't have that much time for wow because of classes. I log on everyday to make my essence of air and check ah/farm mats sometimes etc. Not much I can do with 10k ms. Sometimes on Friday/Saturday night, I won't lag and I'll get a few games in before I start to lag. I'll be playing over Thanksgiving and Winter break. I'm gonna stock up on even more enchanting mats for the migration.

aerie peak - US. the realm was chosen specifically because it gave the best ping to EU players out of all US servers. a lot of europeans actually get better ping than me there
