Does anyone have an insight as to what Pet Spec is best for battlegrounds as well as does it matter what pet you actually use now?

Also does anyone know if BM Hunters are the only class available to tame rare beasts? Or did they change that

I'm not sure. I haven't looked into hunter this patch. Getting something with charge is always solid. I think cunning/ferocity is best for damage.

Only BMs can tame exotic beasts.

Only useful pets are with healing or slow debuf.
Arguably one with heroism.

I remember that bloodlust pets didn't work at 19. I don't remember if revive pets worked at 19.

I'm not sure whats changed in legion. Looks like some pet families got abilities removed? Or perhaps the abilities are limited by pet spec? Not sure. Can't go wrong with a movement impairing or mortal strike though.

They do. Check the spellbook if they're not on your bars.

Try changing your pet's spec. I think tenacity has charge?

Charge is a tenacity ability, any pet can get it. It isn't pet specific.

Just tamed a spider and can confirm it doesn't have the ability 'Web Spray', non of the specs have it either. It's not in the spellbook etc..

Unfortunately Exotic pet abilities don't kick in until level 20 (Bloodlust, Waterstrider, Battle res, Frost Breath, etc.). Slows, such as Crocs and Spider slows, are not learned until level 20. It seems the only ability that is worthwhile on a level 19 pet is Mortal Wounds from Carrion Birds.

It seems Scorps do not learn Mortal Wounds till 20.
