19 Wargame - Dishonor WSG

any variation on those classes allowed? I wants to play on hpally :(

Next time we play this, could we play around with the rules? Perhaps...

- Anyone can get a KB, but only warrior KBs count towards the end score. No negative points awarded.

In general, was very fun. The game forced you to think about your positioning and use CC advantageously. Some suggestions would be to only allow mage/lock/druid as the other classes as they all have spammable CCs (along with having 1 healer per team). Playing as an ele was a bit frustrating as I only had 2 escape spells (and one could potentially get me -2 points for my team!), both of which were on longer cooldowns.

I also am really intent on trying a VIP gametype :p

This is why the preset Shaman on our side was named "snack" , as he was meant to be food for the warriors.

That's hilarious.

I did like having 2 warriors - they could coordinate kills and it definitely made the game more exciting. Maybe try rogue or druid as next assist class in place of shaman? The rogue could help set up kills / shut down enemy casters while the druid could root and heal. I imagine even with travel form two warriors together would not be easy to juke. The druids would also have to be mindful of diminishing returns.

Some way to be able to kill an enemy warrior would be nice. Not sure how to implement it though.

Hey, I like it. I'll be back for more, would love to keep testing these out and find optimal groups.

Goal: To prevent WSG from being a zerg match and require more strategy.

Between things like parsing the combat log, and functions like GetPlayerMapPosition(), it should be possible to come up with all kinds of possible scoring systems, that encourage the teams to spread out.

Perhaps the easiest would be to award points for the distance the flag was moved closer to your spawn before it was dropped (instead of just for a capture), encouraging a good defense as well as offense.

I'll see if I can multibox a couple of teams to level 10 to play around with the BG functions.

That may be weird but i actually think elemsham is a rly good at this dishonor wsg, the thunderdurp is a great emergency button/interrupt and if you land it well you can even help your war get a kill by bumping on char to the war position^^ also the snare totem along with the short cd interrupt makes elemsham rly good (and the fact that it's rly difficult for them to go oom) .
May i mention purge assist the war to completly shut down priest bubbles / blink sprint... :>

Though i'd like to also see rogues in this type of games since they have crazy loads of cc!

I think one of the first things to do with an addon is to replace the default scoreboard completely, with one that only shows the relevant information for the game type. That way, without being able to see KBs/HKs/damage, people will focus more on the objectives in objective based games.
