19 twink - Warrior or Rogue

Okay guys, I want to hear your input on this. As a 19 twink, what class would be the strongest, most fun, best dps, best in arena, best FC (most likely war, but rogue make pretty good FC's I heard.), and, well, just overall the best between the two. Warrior or Rogue? And please explain why. =)

AND, which one would win in a 1vs1 fight. Your input. =)

^kindof a lot, but I'm curious. =)

Thanks guys

-I've played both and Warriors are by far more fun.

-Rogues provide more DPS unless you're rocking a full out damage set on the Warrior, but rogues tend to die much faster unless they blow a cooldown. Warriors can also deal with Hunters much better.

-Which is best in Arena really depends on the competition. Facing a Hunter? Warrior all the way. Against a Shaman? Probably a Rogue.

-Warriors are by far the better flag carriers in my experience.

-A Warrior who knows how to play can easily beat a Rogue. (As long as the Warrior uses a Shield Spike)

-Overall I'd say Warriors are much better. I have a Rogue and a Warrior and since my Warrior has been finished, I haven't touched the Rogue and will most likely delete her soon.

Rogues are not great FCs. Alot of their passive defense is in dodge and you can't dodge attacks from behind. Are you going to back pedal the flag across the mid?

Don't get me wrong, they can certainly get caps. Sprint gives them a decent reason to be a carrier. They just aren't great at it. Druid is the way to go with shaman also becoming a great option next patch.

Personally, I have a rogue, wish it was a warrior. Hamstring provides so much more utility. Add to that, BoAs are allowing warriors to replace traditional leather/cloth items with proper mail pieces, and they will only be getting more durable as time goes on.

rogue, i need more people to duel. doesnt matter the battlegroup either, i will be transfering to every single one for about a month at a time.

Rogues at 19 used to be the very best, until a few rolling nerfs made them not as great. Still good, don't get me wrong, but not what they once were.

Rogues and Warriors are great fun, but I would rather play a warrior, anyday. I hardly ever lose to rogues on my warrior, usually because they do something stupid (like pop evasion xD) or I shield block + revenge when off CD.

Basically saying, a good warrior can beat a rogue, and can carry a flag very well, maybe not as well as a druid, but still, very well.

if i count in BG, arena, FC, dps, fun, utility, playstyle, duells, looks and coolness it is BY FAR the warrior.

human -> dual AGM (highest possible stam)

nelf -> shadowmeld (best duell choice maybe)

gnome -> entangling artist (best choice if not only duelling imo)

why alliance?

racials, look, gear.

edit:

my builds of choice...

1 (11rage TC!!!)

2 (disarm)

What most said above is true (I've played my rogue and my bro's warrior), but there is nothing like popping out of stealth with sprint, grabbing the flag and dashing through a room full of defense and then laughing while everyone is probably going 'Wtf??'.

On my rogue I have actually got a good deal of flag returns (relatively [add to that that usually I hand it off to a pally when I'm back at base]). If you have a glyph of sprint especially, that's 80% speed for 15 seconds, and even if you get stunned, as soon as the stun is up you're flying away again. So I wouldn't underestimate rogues as FC's.

A lot of people these days in 19's seems to use rogues in a dual-swords go in and whack things kind of way, and if you go that way you might as well roll warrior. I use rogues in a less 19-WSG traditional way. I do a lot more stealthing around, ambushing people, putting them out of comission, leading them into traps, sapping, etc. Basically, what you have to ask yourself is, what do I want? Do you want to just fight, or do you want to do the sneaky business as well?

As I've learned, rogues also take a ton of skill to be good at, so if you want to get in there and start owning, probably not the right class.

Just back strafe. :D

In my experience, a rogue is a bit easier than a warrior ;o

(Well, not if you are a bad warrior, bind hamstring and thunderclap to every other key, and smack your face repeatedly on the keyboard =P)

I was thinking about doing some traveling as well, Does anyone know if you are the GM of a one person guild does your guild bank come with you?

afaik you cannot transfer as a GM...

Yeah, already tried to transfer my one man guild, wouldn't let me. Had to give it away to some lucky level 23 standing around SW.

I think a warrior is way better than a rogue, for lots of reasons. Yeah... Rogues can stealth, and have nice burst damage, but once your out and in the open, whats next? kiting?.... yeah! This is just somthing to look at when your going to chose between one of thease classes. Even know they have sprint, and evasion, that has a cool down that can get you killed, which meaning doesn't cool down as fast, as you need it to. ( 3mins i think?? ) As for a warriors SPAMSTRING alll day, some times they might dodge or somthing like that, but hey whos stoping you from using a little hit raiting? Most of the time you will not get kited on a warrior due to spam string.

As for FC's warriors is best out of thease two classes for alot of reasons. The mail items, you can take lots of damage, you have disarm, demoralizing shout, hamstring. I mean its wayyy more versatile than a rogue with 2 cool downs to last you the whole time while taking wayy more dmg than a warrior. Your rogue has high dodge you say? Yaeh not from behind, what are you going to do back pedal the whole way? Nahh I dont think so. Well i hope this helped :D

i've pretty much been playing rogues for ever and they are great fun to play. however getting to 19 isn't hard and i'm rolling a warrior to see what all the fuss is about. i say try both and play the one that's the most fun.

Rogues and hunters are the 2 easiest classes to play at 19

I highly disagree with that statement. Just because the majority of players in the 19 bracket play and hunter or a rogue, doesnt mean they play them well. I think rogues are by far the hardest class to master at 19. For ease of usage, I would go with hunter/lock. Fear dot dot refear ftw.

after i get my damn shadowfang im making an alliance warrior on my realm (gnomes are OP)

EDIT: maybe troll... i have a 17 one sitting around doing nothing anyway.
