US 19 Twink Cup Arena Rules...

Hello 19 Community,

Myrm has given me the privilege to organize the rules for the 19 arena tournament, as myself and other twinks thinks the rules needs to be adjusted for this years twink cup.

Now to the reason why I made this post, I have created a committee to experiment and fine tune the rules, so we can have a more anticipated/exiting TC then last years.

Even though i have full faith in my committee in making the rules fun and exiting. I am always willing to see what sort of ideas other people in the community have. So i'm asking YOU to giving your input in what YOU believe can possibly make this twink cup even more interesting.

All the ideas will be put into consideration. As I am putting the rules together, the committee and I will be doing allot of practice/dummy arenas to see what we can change and modify the rules to minute of details.

I believe arenas have always played a big part in 19 Twinks regardless of what era and in the TC, it is also a good presentation to twinks and brings anticipation to the BG tournament.

Please help me with you're opinions, general thoughts as I will put a considerable amount of time aside in the future to make this as entertaining as possible.

Thanks guys/girls for reading this message, can't wait to see you in the BG's/Arenas. :)

-Game Moderator(neutral and not playing in TC) on each side in call (skype/vent/mumb/curse/ect..) to Referee and make sure rules are being followed.
-Each team must have one person streaming for documentation of game (Chat covered or not is preference)

LEVEL 19 ARENA 2v2/3v3:

-No class stacking (e.g. double Rogue, double Hunter etc.)

-No double healer comps (taking into account that you could play disc x, and x being a 2nd healer would still be very powerful, just due to the sheer fact of disc being able to dish out a significant amount of damage, while being able shield/heal at a very high potential as well)

-Ban Racial Abilities (optional, personally I wouldn't mind one or the other, could be discussed between the competing teams whether they want the Racial Abilities banned or not for their match).

-No use of toys, or similar usable items/cosmetics (Does not include transmog. Simply to avoid glitching, and to keep the match overall more clean).

Feral Druids:

Banned.

Balance Druids:

No 5-set Fang gear.
No Elemental Force on weapon.

Guardian Druid:

Will be allowed to use Landslide on weapon, but no weapon swapping is allowed. (This could be an interesting tweak, obviously needs to be tested to see if it will turn out to be too overpowered)

Warriors:

No Bloodied Arcanite Reaper (can use any other heirloom/non-heirloom weapon).
No Crusader on weapon (Protection Warriors are excluded, meaning they will be allowed to use Crusader).
In case of a Protection Warrior using Crusader on weapon, no weapon swapping will be allowed.

Retribution Paladins:

No Crusader on weapon (Protection Paladins are excluded, meaning they will be allowed to use Crusader).
In case of a Protection Paladin using Crusader on weapon, no weapon swapping will be allowed.

Holy/Disc Priests:

No Elemental Force on weapon.

Windwalker Monks:

Must have Thrash Blade in main-hand.
No Landslide on any weapon.

Brewmaster Monks:

Must have Thrash Blade in main-hand.
No Landslide on any weapon.

Classes/specs not mentioned will have no restrictions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is just my take on how it could potentially look. This was made relatively fast, and could maybe use some tweaks after some testing.

Solution to everything, no enchants of any kind. Now you will see skill come out

Telling you people. Just use preset gear/enchants like the big boys do and everything will be just fine. It should be the end of it.
I keep saying this every time.

No enchants could be interesting. I don't agree with preset gear sets, as a big part of twinking atm is theorycrafting around different sets that suits you.

Having played in many lowbie arenas, both 19s and 20s vet/f2p, I would say that Proc Enchants would probably be the biggest problem for your 3v3 matches - particularly Crusader.

Level 19s experience a lot of the speed and variability in their arenas that high level players enjoy, but at the cost of some unfortunately powerful scaling mechanics. I haven't seen anything in 19s that I would consider "degenerate" outside of multiple crusader stacks (sometimes only 1).

I would go so far as to say that banning Proc Weapon Enchants fixes 90% of issues related to imbalance in 19s. I will grant that I have not participated in many 19 3v3s - but I have done many 3v3s at 70, which I would argue were even more outlandish than the Arms/Feral/BM of the 19s bracket.

Take away a class's ability to increase it's damage by 25-50% (or more in the case of Crusader) on a random weapons proc and I think you guys are in a pretty good place in terms of balance.

As Original said above: Ferals, double healers, and class stacking are things to consider limiting as well.

banning bm monks would be cool, last year was pretty boring because everybody ran bm/mage/priest
