back in the days people needed skill to play 19s, because it was a different game than endgame. Today, i'm afraid, 19s is like people always said back in the days, just like endgame with fewer abilities (which wasn't true in the past but is now). That's what i believe destroyed the community and the fun of the bracket, because it became less challenging.
It's like dota, it was a subgame within warcraft 3 to begin with, but unfortunatly, there won't be a company to take the concept and make a independant game out of it like valve did with dota. So i guess it's lost forever.

In some aspects I do. That would be the independant role of twinking, which gave players a subgame within the World of Warcraft to play. Today, Blizzard adjusted lowlevel brackets to endgame. Now it is, like i said above, just like an easy version of endgame with fewer skills to use and fewer classes (DK).
Twinking will of course continue, but not with the charm it had pre cata.

I used to have a screenshot of a scoreboard just after I killed him and it showed him with 1 death when i was playing as Lockdtite. Unfortunately, I deleted 6 years of screenshots last year.
He was definitely a trip. I even did a meet the twinks on him when I ran TI.

dota 2 sucks compared to dota tho
 
Since for some people can't share one thread for reminiscence this is the US memories thread. Feel free to post gameplay / mechanics nostalgia in either of the threads, but keep guild and player memories in the region specific threads.

I believe the challenge now is gear and team cooperation. I feel like the best days of twinking were when we could use threads on pants. 19s had massive pools of hp. Encounters would last a lot longer and if you weren't caught by a few Twinks the chase would be fun. It made for better team cooperation on returns and focus fire on main targets. I also loved when full dodge rogues were viable. I had too much fun dueling other rogues, rolling with DeathStone watching him crush people's spirits. Shout out to Purple Pony Crew, Overrated, Twinkle Twinkle Baby, Hostess, Pwnage, Zagzil, Kakarate, Jiz, and everyone who ran with BabyWhip who took us in when oldies quit. Hope to be back in game soon and see some old faces & make new friends.
