Dwarf or Nelf in classic? Why?
Wow, way more agility actually. Interesting.Night Elf, more agility and better looking
theres poison thoI’d say Nelf for meld and dodge. No poisons and minimal bleeds/diseases at 19 and you’ll be using a bow.
But I have only played horde hunters so more experienced alliance folks can chime in I’m sure.
Clarification. No crippling poison which would be the biggest hunter concern given rogues in the bracket since serpent sting doesn’t scale right?theres poison tho
The extra Agi is decent, but Shadowmeld isn't great and 10 Nature Resistance is rarely useful.
Dwarves' extra 10 Frost Resistance gives them about a 7.5% chance to resist Frost Nova, Frostbolt, Frostbite, and Frost Armor's Chill effect. I feel like this racial alone is super underrated.
ok but this isnt about 1v1s and on O the only one stopping you from connecting on EFC is the magenature gives resistance to https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=2484/earthbind-totem and https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=1062/entangling-roots
Hunters counter mages hard. Only threat are rogues and warriors, where dodge chance is the only way to save you and there comes the extra agility + https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=20582/quickness + https://classic.wowhead.com/spell=13163/aspect-of-the-monkey in

ok short answer noso 5 shot the mage and move on to efc. Druids and shamans are more challenging with more health + heal
but at the end of the day both of the races aren't supergood for lvl 19 PvP
ok short answer no
long answer enjoy trying to kill a mage while efc gets a free pass, not to mention that any mage that knows how his class and deadzone functions wont just flop especially if healers are involved. believe it or not your job as a hunter isnt to 1v1 the mage, it is to get away from the mage and be of actual use to your team.
thank u for your input but maybe u shouldnt offer it for classes you have no idea about.
considering i am one of the more reputable hunters in the bracket i stopped reading after the first paragraph because the answer is yesIt's lvl 10-19 pvp, you're overthinking it. Ask any hunter if they have ever been like "AAAAAHH, I CAN'T STAND THIS MAGE1!1111111"
it never happens. Only warriors, druid flag carriers and perhaps rogues may piss them off. Also, I find lvl 19 hunter dps really weak in vanilla, so I would take as much extra agility as possible.
Mages are not a problem for hunters at lvl 19, more like the contrary. Like you're just glorifying that +10 frost resist to the absolute maximum right now and try to find petty scenarios of where it could be useful.
Meanwhile night elves has higher dodge (counter melees), nature (shaman, druid) and deals more damage in general. But nooo, that fucking small change of resisting frost nova is sooo much worth!11
A mage who are looking to CC would just polymorph you straight after that frost nova resist and there's nothing you can do about it. No feign death, no silence shot, nothing. Plus with your mindset to tunnelvision on EFC, your pet nor your auto attacks won't even be there to pushback the polymorph

Nope, I am EuropeanDo you play on US realms and if so, what is the name of your hunter?
I would be hard pressed to name three quality hunters TBH.
BTW, I enjoy range rooting hunters on my druids to allow my kitable rogue teammates to feast. I wouldn’t fixate on the dwarven FR as being a big deal.
