19 Enhancement Shaman

Thravian

Legend
Hey Twinkinfo, in light of the recent shaman nerfs I decided to respec my shaman to Enhancement and threw together a quick gearset. I haven't enchanted some of my gear yet, and I was just wondering your opinion on what Ive started with. I'd love if you guys had any sugestions on anything I can improve. Here's my armory link:

Noticed you have 0 Hit Rating, I don't know much about Enha Shaman at all, but surely with your main damage output being Lava Lash and Primal Strike surely stacking Hit would be needed? I think someone else mentioned about this on an earlier thread too.

I'm not too sure.

Enh Shamans have 6% hit automatically, so their special moves are already hit capped. But Dual Wielding has a very high miss chance, so I personally like to stack hit just for higher white DPS output.

^^ Btw go bandit belt for the crit, and either another McGowan for MH, or your crazy like me and use a aurastone for more shock damage and totem damage.

Keep in mind, despite the fact that Enhance Shamans get 6% HR this only goes towards Melee HR. Hit rating that comes from elsewhere such as gear goes towards your hit cap with your spells (shocks) which is very important to have capped out. (requires 7 HR)

I just wear Shadowcraft Shoulders/Chest and that not only puts me over my hit cap towards my spells (shocks) it counts towards my non specials with melee which is nice to have.

As a enh shaman you get 6% hit rate automatically, just stack hit rating for white damage so you wont miss. If you don't have those heirloom maces then The maces from lord pythas in WC will do. I cant think of anything else, correct me if I am wrong.

Dual Skeletal Club is much better since they offer a higher weapon damage.

15- agi enchant on gloves, and maybe use foreman's gloves when fighting melee players.

satchel belt of bandit is better, too.

I am almost certian that this is incorrect, I will check on my 39 shammy when I get home. If you are seeing misses from your totems that is because they don't (or didn't? Dunno if it was fixed) benefit from your hit chance.

Very cool, thanks for all the tips, I was considering replacing minor speed to boots with +5 hit rating and getting simple pearl ring to replace my seal of wrynn. I'll test it out and see how it goes

Get vigorous belt of the bandit and also get foreman gloves they are teh bestest and also thanks for reminding me this enchant exist I always forget it, 5 hit is probably the way to go

I think its pretty good

BUT , i recommend placing your Venerable Mass of Mcgowan in your MH and gutterblade in OH, you will get much more dmg this way

Dual Wield

Allows one-hand and off-hand weapons to be equipped in your off-hand, allows you to parry frontal melee attacks, and increases your chance to hit by an additional 6%.

Pretty sure this is for white attacks only. You need to get the 4% hit through other means to hit cap for your spells / abilities.

It's for both, you have to remembet the purpose of this talent, at 85 soft cap for DW is 8% and hard cap for spells is 14% raid buffed. That talent bridges the gap so you don't have to grab any more hit than any other DW class. It's the same though process as giving pallies 6% spell hit.
