So i'm rolling a 19 horde enh sham atm and I was wondering

Are they difficult to play?
Do they fare well in bgs?
Can someone link me a BiS one?
And is bard's a good mog set with skeletal clubs?
Also I rolled tauren because of 10% stam but I'm not sure which race is better tauren/orc/goblin

its 10% base health which is like 20 more health

not 10% more stam

rocket jump is so useful and as a super squish class, u need all the mobility u can get. Since Rocket jump is so versatile it can eb used to do jumps other classes can't do or just to get away from a bad situation fast over a 1.5 sec stun from war stomp

Right now Enhance shaman is one of the worst specs and classes @ 19.

- No quick heals (3 sec cast time for 200 healing is worse than Bandages)
- No instant GW (The closest you can get is 1 sec cast time. WIthout that mobility the class is trashy)
- No Stormstrike (Primal Strike hits for half of what Lava Lash hits for, so you literally have pretty terrible dmg all around).
- No Frost Shock (Earthbind Totem is alright, but it's really easy to out range).

Basically you end up being a giant target and there's really nothing you can do about it besides roll over and die. In MoP shamans are getting a buff all around, which will put them in a much better place.

Honestly willix, you're being a Negative Nancy. If I could dislike your post, I would.

Paired with lifeblood, healing wave can get you through some sticky situations where you cannot bandage.

As Nollix said, goblin is far better for the extra mobility. On Alliance dwarves are the best because of they have extra expertise gained when using maces, stoneform (great because you are a bit squishy), as well as frost resist which is very effective against mages.

Imo you can do well in BG's if you play smart and know your limits. They have really good burst -- on my enhance shammy I can do 800-1k damage in 2 or 3 globals but after that your damage is not so great. If you use earthbind totem wisely, you should be okay. The 1 second ghost wolf is very nice as well and it allows you to do alot compared to a 2 second cast time. A more veteran shaman may opt to spec into flurry for the increased damage but it's situational because you're giving up mobility.

I might add that they make decent FC's as well, if you have a proper set and utilize your shield for more defensive capability. The ability to kite as well as having decent burst is very nice on D, especially for killing rogues.

Their weakest point is in mid fights because it would be very difficult to get to your enemy, but you have a chance as a goblin with the rocket jump.

tl;dr: they have good utility (purge and cleanse spirit are very nice) but you have to be smart and play your cards right to not be a burden to your team. Enhance shamans are really not as bad as some people like willix make them out to be.

Here's a BiS enhance shaman armory:

enhance shamans BLOW shit up. ive seen it myself many times. as long as they have a good healer on their back, they can be quite dangerous even now, not to mention in mop

You can somewhat reliably global close to 1k on a geared enhance. I do admit that they pretty frustrating to play without heals but that's pretty similar to any shaman spec.

thanks for the help and looking at the armory im playing horde so obviously replace ellos with protectors band

and about the helm enh shams dont need hit right? because they get 6% hit from the spec and are insta capped could i use the mail BoA helm? or should i grab the shadowcraft for more of a white hit chance?

Yep, grab more hit for the white hits. Once you use Shock, LL, PS, you will be relying on white hits to do your damage.

you need 7 hit to cap for spells, no need to go over 7 as enh sham are heavily reliant on burst from LL and PS and not so much white offhand hits for sustained damage ( bone explains it very well in his guide if it is still around)

Honestly don't write off tauren, now Windshear is on a 15 sec CD stomp is vital, also combined with first aid for a quick heal or an engineering bomb which can shut down upto 5 (unlikely i kno) enemies for 4 seconds.

Nothing an enhance 19 can do will get close to 1k dmg. I have a BiS 19, and the biggest hit I've ever got was on Lava Lash (cuz primal strike is garbage) was 550 (no zerking). Enhance doesn't get good as a spec until you have Stormstrike at level 29, it's a huge damage buff over Primal Strike and Lava Lash. Other necessary tools are Frost Shock, instant Ghost Wolf, and Healing Surge.

Like I said before, Enhancement Shams are getting Healing Surge and instant Ghost Wolf in MoP, so that's when they will be more viable. Right now you they are just not that competitive and you would be better off playing something else.

[550] Lava Lash plus [350-400] instant main hand and off-hand white damage along with close to [100] damage from double Flametongue weapon procs equals roughly 1k damage. And I'm not sure why you'd say Primal Strike is garbage especially seeing there is a 45% damage increase talent.

In response to your final statement, a good player can do very well in games, regardless if the spec is 'viable' or not. I have even seen resto shamans (Dasfizzla and Sloppyheals) do very well even though it's considered one of the worst and least played specs in the bracket atm. Keep your generalizations to yourself.

Resto shamans can do fine in an FCing niche. Enh shamans have no niche.
