19 achievement ideas

A year or so ago I came up with some 19 achievement ideas and thought I'd post em here for discussion.



Feaire and Jim the Epeen Addon guys were going to build a 19 twink custom achievement mod and include some of these. The last I heard from Feaire he had the event triggers up and running (every BG with him guild chat was fill of addon test text lols) then cyclone died and I didn't hear from him again.



These are all pre 3.x / before 20 minute timer etc, I like some of them, some are lame or are a bit farmy, and some won't work anymore.



  1. Back from the Dead : Return the final flag to win wsg 3-2 after losing 0-2
  2. Mercy Dash : return a flag to win the game with 200 health or less
  3. Body Count : Get 60 Honourable Kills in a single Battleground
  4. Bloody Carnage : Get 100 Honourable Kills in a single Battleground
  5. Unstoppable! : Get 50 killing blows in a single battleground without dying
  6. A matter of time : Return the flag to win a wsg battleground that has lasted more than 60 minutes
  7. Warsong Flagmaster : Capture 100 flags in wsg
  8. Nemesis : Kill the same horde player 5 or more times in a single battleground
  9. last man standing : Start, finish and win a WSG as the only player not to die
  10. brothers in arms : win wsg in a 10 man premade.
  11. Under Control : Fear or sheep or Sap the same horde player more than X times in the same wsg
  12. Setting the Standard : Obtain the battlestandard and plant it in the horde flagroom
  13. Battle Hardened : Win 100 duels and 100 wsg's



Some WSG win percentage achievement ideas :

  1. Warsong Titan : play more than 100 wsg battlegrounds winning more than 66% of them
  2. Warsong Warlord : play more than 100 wsg battlegrounds winning more than 75% of them



etc.



TEN MOST WANTED



We used to have a TEN MOST WANTED list on an old guild I ran. This was a lot of fun for guildies who used to get rewards for killing anyone on the list and a lot of lols for ppl on the list.



I wanted to incorporate the 10 most wanted list into the achievements but didn't have the addon skills...



  1. Contract Killer : achieve a killing blow on 3 different horde on the guild most wanted list
  2. Hitman : achieve a killing blow on 5 different horde on the guild most wanted list
  3. Bounty Hunter : Achieve a killing blow on 10 different horde on the guild most wanted list



Healing Achievements :



Can't leave the healers out. Too many of the current achievements reward damage dealers. (these are old pre 3.x / 20 minute timer numbers and need adjusting!)



  1. Life Support : heal another guild member for more than 10k during a single WSG
  2. Medic! : Bandage another guild member from less then 1/4 health back to full health in battle
  3. 25k : battlefield nurse
  4. 50k : battlefield medic
  5. 75k : battlefield doctor
  6. 100k : battlefield surgeon



Some Achievement names I scribbled down that I stole from other games and thought they sounded cool :



  1. battle hardened :
  2. cold blooded killer :
  3. hardcore :
  4. relentless :
  5. graverobber : A kind of booby prize / wooden spoon achievement given to a member who GY camps too much, too long, drops flag while camping? dunno.
 
I like alot of em.

Yeah they're far tooo farmy. Maybe replace them with total arena or WSG killing blows stats, e.g. 1000, 5000, 10000 etc.

Good idea.

I think if thoose achivements got released, WSG would turn into more midfield-ganking than it already is.
 
I like the Nemesis and Warsong Flagmaster. I actually think achievements don't mean anything and most people can care less about them.



But who doesn't like the positive reinforcement "chime" and to see a new achievement pop up every now and again. In a way you are rewarded for goal oriented play. I was leveling my warrior is XP-on bg's and you would be surprised how short some of those games last because of all the people saying "OMGCANIPLEASEGETIRONMAN!!!!!!1111!!!"



Cool ideas with the new achievments though
 
I've got mixed feelings about battleground achievements, If they're achieved 'naturally' then they're great, I remember getting save the day in an epic wsg where we we're chasing up the tunnel and it was soooOOO close and we just burned them down in time with a couple of crazy crits then BOOOOONNNGG the achievement pops up. That was a great reward for a meta-battle.



The 'ZOMG GIEF FLAG FOR IRONMAN' /whispers and bgchat is that bad side of achievements... sometimes people with 2 caps already can get mighty pissed off when a random takes the 3rd flag!
 
these wouldn't be difficult even preEXPOFF so... but i guess it could be more of a challenge. I've suffered undercontrol...ALOT lol. Tht does look like a fun idea.
 
Anywho more on topic, Alot of those sound cool, im not sure about the HK ones, it might encourage farming. Same goes for nemesis. Also the list looks alittle out dated, A Matter of Time? My favorites are Last Man Standing and Mercy Dash. Still i cant help but get the feeling that those achievements would change game play alittle too much :(
 
After reading a few of those achievements I have concluded you play Team Fortress 2.
 
Spy Sappin' Mah Sentry! : Die in a 2v2 match while your healer is sapped.
 
"They See Me Cappin" Cap 3 flags, and return 3 flags in one battleground without dying.

"Invincible" Win WSG without a team member dying.





Complete all of the achievements above:
