Hello!
As you all know by now xpon/ xpoff ques are separated.
So I got a question to anyone that has an account without BFA. Can you queue for BGs and get into the same BGs as those who have their experience unlocked?


In the past, it worked like that with vanilla accounts when BGs first started to give experience, back in wrath. BGs were separated but if you had a vanilla account you would still count as a leveler. Good old times face rolling those being in their low 50's in AV.

Should be the same as for 20's getting into xpon BGs, if you are a vet/f2p.


Haven't seen anyone post about this, in case I have missed it I'm sorry.
 
Forgot to give an update about this. You can transfer from a BFA-acc to a Legion-acc without any problem. You will keep all your items and are able to join BGs just like anyone else that have not locked their xp.

Were you able to keep all the azerite armor? Crazy if true
 
That's good to know. I was under the impression that you couldn't transfer to an account with a lower expansion e.g. BFA -> Legion.

I imagine if you were to do this you would be reported quite frequently by people thinking you are using the queuing macro.

My 110 war in M Ant gear stomps people hard enough, no need to transfer a BFA toon just to have the risk of being reported. Someone posted a blue post about how you couldn't do this either, weird.

I checked on blizzard Website and it says you can not character transfer to a lower xpac
So glitch?

Also if you buy a bfa key you can apply the boost to your legion account , did it with no issues

It works now at least, don't think it has worked in any other expansion (non that i have tested it in at least)

Yeah, the boosts work on any account under the same bnet, and its almost always cheaper to get an other copy of the current xpac than buying the boost offered in the shop.

for those wondering I am going do it in 2 days when my legion account arrives lol
 
Go to your nearest Walmart or bookstore and see if they have a copy of classic wow ( they only stopped selling them a few years ago)

I found a classic wow chest for $15 and the guy said in electronics it has been there for a few years which I believed him as the box was rallied. Got it home, this thing still had physical keys to send RAF requests lol.

Setup account, became legion account immediately, xfered 110 to it, got into xpon bgs within 5 minutes.

How recent was this change?
I was planning on moving my 20 to wow2 and did my own research.

just got my new Legion key got an expired key message contacted support got this

ah ok, so this is a key for legion which can't be claimed anymore as all account shave legion. Legion has been merged into the base game with the 8.0 pre-patch. Unused Legion keys can no longer be claimed and no longer grant a level 100 character boost. If you have an unused Legion key and recently purchased it, please contact your point of sale for a refund or exchange as it's just not a usable key anymore : (

I warned to get the classic wow key, as it then bumps the account up to legion

I woulda told that GM to get off his ass and get you a fresh legion account considering the circumstances.

The transfer took a bit longer than it usually does when I did it. But that might just have been a
coincidence.
 
quick update you cannot transfer allied races it will lock out , so if you want to do it you must race change then xfer

working with support atm since character is locked out


****Update***
so chat guy told me character would be locked out for 30 days , and refund in 5-7 days

I was bummed, called support the rep was SUPER helpful she was able to move my character and faction change. I can confirm what @Smn said is accurate you can xfer the character to a legion account.


Step 1 create a starter account, Legion keys are no longer valid so don't buy
step 2: If allied race change to core races THEN do a character transfer
Step 3: Profit xfer with all the azerite gear, expect this to be patched
