10v10 WSG Wargames - 1/30/15

I'll be honest I lvled my 24 BM to 29. Me personally I like to open on them with 5-7 secs left in there guard n pray they have 0 chi or too stupid to react fast enough to refresh there guard. Enrage hutt helps too if you have a pocket healer it not too bad but have your healer heal from a range to stay away from the aoe n then it gg. I don't like restricting classes learn to adapt but thats me.

Btw is that guard purgable by a shaman?

I've also stated that playing without kegsmash is a possibility and i believe a quiet good one. Correct barrel throwing thrives on awareness and correct leads. Sure it costs 0 resources now, but it still costs a gcd. A BM monk in mid fight who tunnels dps is not doing their job correctly, while placing barrels on the enemy healers doesnt require any sort of crazy cooridination, it requires awareness and open-mindedness rather than narrow-mindedness. I am fine if these premades have no BM monks but i was making a point that they bring some of the most unique and useful abilities to the table besides their dmg

No BM monks. We need to chase them from the bracket like we did to AS hunters in 3.3 and ambush rogues in 4.0 and prot warrs in 5.2

Tapatalked from my PACMAN 4.4.4 Note II

awareness and open-mindedness

Mouseover kick and counterspell would fall in my mind under awareness. Using a valuable GCD to slow half of an offense or defense, more of a paint-licking type of self awareness.

If u wanna take that route anything in this game can be paint-licking easy, u are just pressing counterspell while the enemy is casting. If enemy healers are fake casting that much in a mid fight setting then its a win for ur team. mouseover kick, well then u just move ur mouse over the target in melee range and click the button, dont even need to switch targets. same as barrels, just move ur mouse over the enemy healers and click every 8 secs. Everything can be explained simply and done simply in this game, compared to other games reaction time is barely needed.

If guard was purgable, or if the slow was cleanseable there would be a lot less hate for both.

not rly no, u obviously understood that i was talking to u just now

no shit, we are the only 2 who have even posted on this page besides the first post and u used notifiers like HE and a then elaborated on to even mention exact same topic and words said by the object u were referring too.

Now, if u had said something like " and 50 sec cd " because u were talking about keg smash should be a 50second cooldown so less ppl hate bm, then most ppl would not understand what u were saying immediately would they?

For those who care, the reason he said 25 second cooldown in his statement is that counterspell has a cooldown of the same length.

I'd settle for a cooldown of anything at or upwards of 12s, if the duration is going to be 8s. Then you would be in the ballpark of skill or strategy, ignoring the aoe, instantcast, and inability to purge.

Hey guys.
This thread is going a bit off-topic with the discussion about monks. As I understand, it's mainly to register your toon if you are willing to participate in Albino's event.
Please bring it back to its main purpose.

Conversation on monks is relevant and on topic, op is more than happy to run bm's lots of people who would play would prefer NOT to play with or against a 5 man boss.

I understand how it could be relevant, but I think OP made himself clear a few posts ago. (And he already opened a thread to talk about rules and what not) From my point of view, if he's hosting or organizing the event he has the last word on it.

There will be BMs if ppl signup as them, 1 per each team max. one team will not have a bm while the other will. Either both have 1 or neither. BMs allow for too many strategies and playstyles. 1 arms and 1 shadow priest are obvious rules, but if we have 10 ppl and 2 of them are playing spriest so we can do a 10v10, then thats what will be done to get the games. If that person can switch to a better class for balance then that takes priority. As i just said, i take a lot into consideration which when making the teams, its not first come first serve. The rules are there, but they are no set in stone because doing that may prohibit games from happening.
