Simul queueing four five man teams in MoP was somehow literally faster/easier than whatever happened yesterday. Hopefully the next one is smoother. Thanks to everyone who stuck around though and especially to those who were ready on time.
If it helps, I can tell you that last week (the first week of organized games) was much, much smoother. Other than a couple people needing to de-enchant their gear, and coordinating the crossrealm, we breezed right into the games.
The success of these games depends on the reliability of the people participating. I think that Bop and AC are very, very patient, and that is great, however I would be a little more stern against those that are holding up 20 other players. It's really important, as we go into the third week, that people:
A) only sign up if they know for sure they can make it, as it's not fair to bump someone else from the roster just to hold yourself a maybe spot,
B) Log in at least half an hour before the game and make sure you are completely ready with your gear and spec,
and actually that's all I've got, there's no C. Everyone has actually been really good about being in a place that they can be invited, and being in Skype in a timely manner, and being quiet on Skype while people are coordinating. I'm very happy with how well these have gone -except- for the people who aren't keeping their commitments and being where they said they would be. I totally understand when real life comes up, and sometimes it comes up at the last minute, but by the same token I think people should understand that there should be some consequence to interrupting the flow, such as, if you cause a disruption (no show, not being ready, etc) on a given week, you'll have to sit out the next week. And if it happens more than a few times, I think we should consider just letting that person know that they can only join as an alternate. We have to be able to rely on people, for the greater good.
Please everyone let me know your thoughts on this too, if you agree or disagree! This is meant to start a conversation, not to be a decree of any sort.
