Also.. Use looms instead of the ilvl 160s u have. Yes, looms are ilvl 158 but u can enchant them, which makes them instantly better.
And I would also recommend using WoD alchemy trinket.

The low stats might be a large hit but the proc still works as do the mount (i think its a somewhat recent fix) because in legion i couldnt use the mount effect on my lock. Might be worth trying.

The legendary staff doesn’t proc as it used to sadly. Now it proc only on the DoTs/indirect dmg if I remember correctly.

I think youre right, i want to remember i read about the change back when i used mine for more then the mount.

On another note ive started to look into some of the MoP raid gear from Seige of Orgrimmar, primarely chest/legs/shoulder/waist i think if i enchant them/gem them right they might give better stats with next to no stat loss. If my math is correct il lose 1 or 2 intellect per item but gain a lot more mastery.

dont worry about the 5% loss in primary stats .. look for any legion epic BOE gears that uses your primary stats and are over ilvl194 .. of cos the higher the better .. but not many AHs has that many ilvl204-224

as for the 2 trinkets, ignore its ilvl and look for those that proc at least 240 of your primary stats or 265 in the case of mastery, haste, crit and versa

classes that can reach the max are holy pally, resto shaman, elemental shaman, resto druid, balance druid, these are the only specs that can have ilvl224 in every of their slots, but as you know, some class like warriors do not need to reach max and their dmg will already exceed a max out elemental shaman or balance druid

enhance shaman and hunters can have full set armor (mail & leather) minus their artif weapon, because there are no ilvl224 for their weapon slot.

dmg dealer should always macro saltwater pot into your attack, this is 1 pot you should constantly use in 101 bg
